The Taste of Near Death

Azalea

Azalea was was born in a small village in Gikken. She was born to her two parents, Zora and Trevian, on the 5th of July. She was an only child until her brother was born three years later. They named him Tiger. Tiger had strawberry/ginger hair and a fierce, energetic personality taking after his name. He had freckles all over his nose and was as skinny as a twig. As Tiger grew up, he became a typical boy with Nike trainers, sports tops and jeans. Azalea had straight waist length bright red hair and was a very shy girl. Sometimes a small part of her hair fell in front of one of her green eyes like a fringe. Azalea,too, had freckles but just a few on her nose.

When Azalea and Tiger were young, they played nicely together with both dolls and action figures. Sometimes they would go outside and play rugby together with their dad- Trevian. They loved playing rugby together, at the football field by their house. Sometime when their mother wasn't working at the family bakery, she came to play too. They played for hours until the dark. Sometimes Tiger and Azalea would help their mother at the bakery. They would make cakes, bread and lots of mess!

When Azalea was about twelve, she stopped enjoying playing rugby and baking. She started sitting in her room for hours. No one knew what she was doing up there but she was only reading. She loved being in her own world. Her mother would worry about her and say
"Azalea, will you help me and Tiger bake, your spending a lot of time in your room. " Or
"Azalea, why don't you come out your room and play rugby with us, you need some fresh air. "

For Christmas, Azalea got a laptop. Since she got the laptop, she started writing stories. Stories about fairies, demons, wizards and other lives she wished she had. At school she would write stories at break and lunch with her two best friends sat beside her. Mitzi would draw pictures to fit in with the story and Tessa would sit and watch Mitzi. Tessa wasn't a very creative girl, she just loved to read the stories that Azalea came up with. Every so often she would try and draw with Mitzi.
Mitzi had light brown hair usually worn in French plaits. She was a girly-girl with a face full of makeup every day. Tessa was completely different. She was a very sporty person. She did a club almost everyday. She wore her light blonde hair in a high ponytail and maybe leave it down for special occasions.

One lunch time, Azalea and Tessa were sat at a lunch bench, waiting for Mitzi when she came running up to them.
"Hey guys! Guess what!" Mitzi said with excitement. Tessa and Azalea looked at Mitzi then at each other, then back at Mitzi. With a feign of excitement and confusion over their faces.
"What!?" They asked together
"I've got a boyfriend!!" Screamed Mitzi
"OMG WHO?!" Tessa screamed back
"Zyler Wood!"
"No way!" Said Azalea
"Way" replied Mitzi. The girls stood there in silence until Zyler popped up next to Mitzi out of no where.
"Hi girls!"

Everyday from then on the girls started hanging out with Zyler and his friends Bradley and Rocco. Zyler had dirty blond hair spiked up into a small quiff. He was buff compared to Bradley and Rocco who were skinny. Bradley had long dark hair covering his blue eyes and Rocco had quite long very blonde hair but not quite covering his dark green eyes. 
The boys played football on the school field almost every break time. Tessa normally played too, while the other two girls watched at the sidelines cheering Tessa on.

After a few months Tessa and Azalea stopped hanging around the boys. They got bored of watching and playing the same game everyday. Mitzi started hanging out with Zyler more. The girls seemed to be slipping away from each other. Tessa and Azalea didn't really see much of Mitzi anymore. The two girls sat at the table drawing, writing and chatting like the three of them did before Mitzi got into a relationship with Zyler. The girls started missing Mitzi but she didn't seem to want to be around or talk to the girls anymore.
