Draco just wanted to impress Harry Potter. It started when he asked him to be his friend. When the male held his hand out and talked lowly of Harry's new friends, Harry said no. He didn't want to be friends with someone like Draco. Draco had only been trying to be the males friend and trying to impress him by appearing better than Ron. That's when the teasing started. Draco teased Harry harshly everyday and bullied his friends, but it was only to get Harry's attention. To get a reaction from him. And everyday he tried to impress the other male. He mentioned that Harry's friends weren't purebloods so Harry would think he was better. Harry wanted to be friends with a pureblood, didn't he? He became Slytherin seeker just so Harry would be impressed that he was good at Quidditch, just like him. He talked about his father a lot, hoping that would interest Potter. Everything Draco did was to impress or get a reaction from Harry. No one else saw it that way, though.
