A/N: sorry it took me so long to post this, I just wanted to make sure that it was "long enough" (it still isn't ,, but) and wasn't full of spelling errors. Enjoy - I love y'all so much.

Mimi walked up to the reception desk. She missed Scott; she needed to know if he was okay, "Excuse me? Can I see Scott Hoying now?" The nurse gave Mimi a questioning look, then moved her eyes to the computer in front of her and sighed.

"The doctor hasn't told you yet, has she?" Mimi shook her head, her stomach feeling queasy, "Mr. Hoying isn't awake yet. He's, he's unconscious. They think he may be in a coma."

Mimi's breath hitched in her throat. She stepped backwards from the desk, shaking her head.

"I'm sorry, you'll have to speak with the doctor about seeing Mr. Hoying." Mimi nodded, walking away from the nurse.

Mimi couldn't believe what she had heard. Scott, in a coma? How was it that Matt was awake and okay, but Scott was in a coma? Mimi hated thinking that Matt should be in a coma rather than Scott, but her mind was all fumbled. She felt sick.

Mimi began walking down the hall before she spotted the surgeon from earlier. She was walking into a room, in which Mimi followed her to. But when Mimi looked inside, what she saw she wished she hadn't.

Scott was laying in the bed. He had a tube in his mouth, a monitor hooked up to him and the lines on it slowly went up and down. He was barely alive, could hardly breathe on his own. Mimi stepped back, shaking her head, "Excuse me? Are you okay?" The surgeon looked at Mimi, realizing she knew her patient, "Mr. Hoying is your friend, isn't he? I remember you from earlier, before taking you to see Matt. I'm so sorry. Scott is in a coma, for now. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet, don't worry, please. He could wake up at any moment. Keep your hopes up." Mimi tuned out after that. Her hopes? Scott was in a coma, he had a tube in his mouth that was helping him breathe because he can't do so on his own, "I'll leave you alone with Mr. Hoying as I talk with the nurses. Excuse me." Mimi didn't respond, hardly looking at the doctor before she left the room.

Mimi walked over to the farthest side of Scott's bed, near the window. She sat in the chair provided for visitors, grabbing onto Scott's hand. It was cold, an IV coming out of the top. Mimi looked at Scott's face - he looked calm, peaceful. Mimi wondered what would be going through the blond's mind. If he knew what was going on, or if he was simply dreaming, and if so, of what. Perhaps of Mimi, and Rose. Maybe of his family that he missed. Mimi wondered if his parents knew what was going on and if they were on their way to see him. She hoped so, because she knew how hard it was to not have your family visit you in the hospital. Mimi wanted Scott to wake up, to be okay, and to be the happy laughing Scott she had grown to know and fall for.

"Excuse me?" Mimi looked to the doorway, where an older man and woman stood. The woman had apparently been the one to speak, and was standing anxiously with tears on her cheeks. These were Scott's parents, Mimi figured, "May I ask who you are? This is our son, Scott. Are you his friend, perhaps?"

Mimi nodded slowly, still holding Scott's hand, "Yes, actually. I-I apologize, I'll leave." Mimi stood, looking at Scott once more. She smiled gently, a tear rolling down her face.

"You seem to be very fond of him?" Scott's mom questioned.

"Very, yes." Mimi whispered, finally letting go of Scott's hand and moving closer to the door, stopping as Scott's dad spoke up.
