Hermione Granger
"I think it might be better if I stayed with Malfoy," Harry stared at me with clear disbelief painted across his face.
"You mean you would really rather stay with that ferret than with your own family?" I loved him like a brother but sometimes I could honestly kill him. Did he not understand how this felt for me and how hard it was for me to walk away from the people who had become my family?
"Look Harry, I really appreciate the offer but I just don't think it would be good for me to around the Weasleys at the moment. As much as I love Ginny this is a time where she will, and should be, surrounded by her family and I just can't deal with that right now. I really think it would just be better for me to stay with Draco," I chose to leave out the fact that seeing her with her baby made me feel as though I was almost in physical pain at the thought of my own. A certain degree of understanding passed across his face but he still looked unsure.
"I suppose I understand. You might want to let him know that you're still going to stay with him though."
"Why would I have to do that? He already knows I'm going to stay with him," I narrowed my eyes at him and he shifted uncomfortably.
"Well, the thing is I may have assumed you would stay with us and I may have called him to tell him that you would already," I felt a small swell of anger towards my friend.
"Harry! He's going to think I'm such an awful person now," I groaned sinking my face into my hands.
"Why should you care what he thinks of you?"
"Maybe because he saved my life?" I said looking up again.
"Whatever, I still wish you would at least hear Ron's side of the story. Maybe there was a reason?" Harry muttered looking down at the ground.
"Harry, I don't want to get into this. I'm not going to explain this to you because I'm not going to make you choose me or Ron," Suddenly a ringing sound burst into the air and Harry fished his phone out of his pocket.
"Its a text from Ginny saying that if I don't get home within the next half hour, she is going to castrate me. I suppose that would be a good cue for me to leave."
"As much as I'm slightly annoyed you know that I really do appreciate your offer, right?"
"Yes I know. I promise I will swallow my pride and visit you at least once a week while you're there."
"Thank you," he leaned over and hugged me before saying his goodbyes and leaving.
As soon as the door shut behind him I grabbed my phone and dialled Draco's number but it went to voice mail after a few rings.
"Hi Draco, it's Hermione. I just called to tell you that Harry was wrong when he told you I'd be staying with him and if the offers is still open I'd really appreciate a place at your house. If you'd prefer me to go somewhere else though I totally understand. Bye."
I really hope he gets the message before I get discharged because otherwise I would be left in an interesting and uncomfortable situation.
