isabelle;
jack and i each got out of his car and walked to the front door of my home. god, i missed this place.
realization hit me that jack had never been here before, so i unlock the door and allow him to enter first.
"here." i hold out my hand to hang his jacket up.
"thanks." he says, "i like your place. definitely defines you perfectly." he states, looking around.
locking the door, i say a quick 'thank you'. he sets himself on the couch, whipping out his phone from his jeans' pocket.
"johnson says hey." he informs me.
i smile, "tell him i say hi." i can't believe it. and by it, i mean that i'm back to being friends with the omaha boys. for years, all of us were apart. finally, being back together with them, and dating jack, it's just so heartwarming and nice.
after those years of us being apart, i never thought we would all be friends again. due to them all being busy with their music careers, and me travelling all the time for work, me being friends with them again seemed impossible. i'm so lucky to —
"isabelle?" jack waves his hands in front of my face, "hello? are you listening to me?" he laughs.
nodding, i respond, "yeah, yeah. sure. i was just thinking about something."
"johnson says that he wants you to come over to our place later." jack says.
"alright." i say.
while about to sit down, my phone rings.
"who is it?" jack asks.
i sigh, "cameron."
"don't answer it." he says harshly.
"jack." i groan, "if it's non-work related, i'll hang up."
he nods. i answer the phone with the typical, "hello?"
"hey isabelle, sorry to bother you... do you have a few minutes to talk?" he asks.
"yeah, what's up?" i say, playing with the ends of my hair.
"so i just got off the phone with my manager. he said that our managers have been in communication and want us to meet at one of their offices. apprently she tried calling you but you were still flying?" he questions himself, "so maybe give her a call."
"okay, i will. thanks." i say.
"yeah, yeah. no worries. bye." he ends the call luckily, and jack looks at me without having to ask.
"i have to call lyza." i answer his silent question. while dialling her number, jack stands to – what i'm guessing – go to the kitchen.
lyza picks up the phone with a cheerful, "hello, my dear!"
"hey, lyza. cameron told me to call you?" i tell her, but also question his honesty.
"yes, yes. his manger and i were talking and i have a proposal for you. do you mind coming down to my office? cameron can't make it, so it'll just be you and i." she explains.
nodding, although she is unable to see me, i answer, "yeah, when?"
"now?"
"sure. i'll leave right now." i stand to get ready to leave as soon as we hang up.
"thanks hun, see you soon." she says and hangs up.
"jack!?" i yell.
"yeah?" he exits the kitchen with an apple in hand.
"lyza needs me to go to her office. do you want to stay here, come with me, or go back to your house?" i ask.
"how about i come with you, and then we go back to johnson and i's place since he wants to see you?" he plans.
"yeah, okay. let's go then." i rush him.
"okay, okay. geez." he laughs, walking to the front door.
"i'll drive." i confidently speak, causing him to chuckle, "what?"
"nothing, let's just go." he brushes his weird chuckle off, and rushes me out the door. i'm slightly nervous for this meeting with lyza since cameron is involved.
