-

Days of riding my bike, killing walkers and nothing later, I was sure it was done with me. I only had a can of uncooked corn, and 1 more bottle of water left.

I thought about how I would find supplies, when a pleasant sight came in my view.

A city.

Hell yeah.

I got a boost of adrenaline, and took off north, where some high rise buildings towered over the hill.

Optimistic, I began humming something.

It was a cool summer evening, and the sun had just come up. The past week after I left camp Reedus had been hard. I had to live off what was in my bag (some food and water Delia stole when the alarm went off) and I had to find somewhere to sleep where walkers couldn't reach me. I tried sleeping in a treehouse I found, but the wood was so rotten that when I set foot in it, the wood broke and I fell out. I spent my night in a hole I dug, covering myself with those planks. The next day I found a small house in the middle of the woods. It was next to a lake, and I thought I had hit jackpot, but of course, I didnt. Inside were 4 walkers, probably a family, and I had to run for my life. One night I didn't sleep at all, and the rest of them I spent in a abandoned car.

By the time I reached the city, the sun was up, and I felt the warm sunlight in my face. It felt like a ray of hope, that there was still something human in me left.

I remembered what Z told me.

Its the end of the world. Rules dont apply anymore.

I was on top of the hill, and I looked down at the city.

It was a modern city, with abandoned cars scattering the streets. It was crowded with walkers, but not as much as there were in Maidfields.

I grabbed my hatchet and my rope, in case would need to get out quickly.

I layed my bike down in the grass, and sneaked to a building. I looked around the corner. 2 of them. I can take that...

I ran and planted my hatchet in pme of their heads. The walkers was dead, but I couldn't get my hatchet out.

'Dammit!'

I pulled and pulled, but my hatchet was stuck. I had no choice. More walkers came around the corners, and slowly creeped up on me.

'Fuck fuck fuck fuck!' I cursed.

I looked around. There was 1 alleyway empty.

I made a run for it. I dashed past some walkers, and ran trough the alley.

Bad choice.

There were even more of them. But that wasn't what surprised me.

In the middle of the street stood a tank. I guess this place was protected by the military.

The walkers came closer, and I had no other choice. I ran over to the tank.

I pulled at the trapdoor that closed the tank. It sprung open.

'Jackpot!'

I climbed inside and closed the door.

My heart was beating in my neck. You could hear the walkers banging on the tank.
