Back home - 40

*Lilly's pov*

I kept my blank face. "Yeah, he's dead." I replied. "Oh, is he now." He said. I heard footsteps outside the door.

"You're not going to give me a chance? Unfreeze me." I demanded. "Why should I?" He asked.

"Because I freed you. You owe me." I replied. "I told you I would kill you." He said and went back into his cage.

"You could kill everyone here and you decide to hide? You coward." He closed the door anyway.

Men and woman poured down the stairs and held guns up to me. One man locked up the door again.

I glared at everyone. Once to door was fully locked I unfroze. I attacked and attacked and attacked.

They just kept coming. Too bad I couldn't shift. Eventually I was getting tired, my be from the tranquilizers, but tired.

There were only twenty left, but they had guns. Maybe I can make them shoot each other.

'You seem tired. Want me to take over?' Raven asked.

'And where have you been all this time?'

'Do you want me to take over or not?'

I let her take over and she kicked some ass. It was harder for her to fight, or even be in human form because I couldn't shift.

She still did it though, she was extremely exhausted, but she did it. I took over and she basically passed out.

It must have taken a lot out of her. I hope she's okay. I walked over to the exit and looked back at the the silver door one more time.

*Deon's pov*

"What are you?" I asked. "Lilly sent us. She freed all of us and sent us here. May we come in?" A woman asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, come on in." They rushed through the door and into the complex. Queen came rushing down.

"Who the hell are they?" She asked. "Reinforcement." I replied. Everyone came down and everything was explained.

"So, you guys were kidnapped, torched, and tested?" I asked. They all nodded. "Can you help us? We only want to get back to our families."

Then I saw the people who were kidnapped by Lilly that survived. I guess Lilly was being controlled by the serum when she did that.

*Lilly's pov*

I walked out of the facility and down the street. What now? I can't go back. I have to fix this. I walked to the forest. I found the spot I came quite fond of on my runs.

I sat down under the hidden tree by the big bushes. I opened the box and examined the samples.

I took out a remote and the controls. They were labeled. Kill, lie, improve, memories, fight, and the last one wasn't labeled.

There was also a mini keypad. There were numbers and letter. Maybe for manual commands.

All of a sudden I threw up. "Goddess damn." I said about my head pounding. I was now on all fours.

I put my hand on my head and tried to make the headache go away. I threw up again and felt even worst.

This stuff was killing me. Literally. There must be something in it whatever they gave me that is making me throw up.

I try to get up. I fail miserably. I looked around. It got really dark really fast. Did I blank out for a few hours?

I got really tired all of a sudden. I took out one of the serums with the letter w on it. I took out a needle that I took and injected it into my bloodstream before I passed out.

I woke up to a man shaking me. "Mam? Mam, are you alright?" He said in a country accent.

"Are you american?" I asked. He nodded slowly. "Why wouldn't I be? We are in America." He said.

At this point, I sat up straight. I was in a hospital and he was a nurse. "You were stirring in your sleep." He explained.

"Are you sure I'm not in Ireland?" I asked. He nodded. "I'm pretty sure." He laughed.

"How long have I been here? How did I get here?" I asked. "You've been here two days. Your friend brought you in. It'll be better for them to explain it when they get back. They just left and asked me to watch you." He explained.

"Who?" I asked. "I don't know. Some teen?" As he said that, Queen walked into the room.

She almost dropped her coffee. "Lilly." She said. Her eyes went cloudy, then normal.

Almost five seconds later, Deon was in the room. He rushed over to me and picked me up by hugging me.

"Lilly. You're okay." He whispered into my ear. I hugged him back. "Yeah. You've got a lot to explain." I told him.

We let go of each other and I almost fell to the ground. Deon caught me before I fell though.

I couldn't feel my legs. Deon sat me on the bed. The nurse left and Terrain cane in to the room.

He was a lot taller than when I last saw him. Confusion filled my face. "How long was I out?" I asked.

"I found you by a tree. There was throw up and blood and a bag. I picked you up, along with your bag, and brought you home. You were still asleep when we went to go to the facility. And thank you for the extra recruits. So we came back to Washington and you were still asleep." Deon explained.

"Nora snuck us out. It turns out she was being controlled by the facility since she was a wee child. She is actually really nice." Queen continued.

"So we came back to the pack. Joli got you set in the hospital. I feel bad for her..." Terrain continued in a really deep voice.

"How long has it been? And what happened to Joli?" I asked. "Its almost been a month. And I think you should talk to her about that."

With that, Joli walked in. But she wasn't alone. She came in carrying a baby.

"Joli. You..." She nodded. She walked over to me and hugged me. She let me hold him. "Johnathan." She said.

I smiled. "Did Joe pick out the name?" I asked. Her face fell. "Joe did. Lilly. There was a rouge attack right after his birth. About two weeks ago. He didn't make it..." I cover my mouth with my free hand.

"Joli, I'm so sorry. My brother..." Joli started crying. "No. Don't cry. Here. He's about to cry. Set the example. It's okay to lose people." I said and handed Johnathan back.

She took him and tried to stop crying. She said that she was sorry and left the room. I feel for her. Being the Luna, the mother of the pack, and being a single mother?

It has to be hard.
