Chapter 15

Abby Nichols

"It's not a total bad thing that Zaylin's gone," I said nonchalantly as I closed our bedroom door.

Zayn shot me a look as if I was crazy. "What are you talking about?" he demanded. "You're one of her best friends, but now you're saying good riddance? Some friend you are."

"Shut up, Malik," I ordered and flipped my hair behind my shoulders. "What I meant was, Zaylin's always getting after us to not have sex and stuff. And now that she's gone...."

Zayn grinned at me and shook his head. "You're a naughty girl, Abby," he chided me lightly. "But I like the way you think."

"I thought you might," I smirked.

I turned around so that my back was facing him and took off my shirt. I was unafraid to undress in front of Zayn because we'd slept together before and we were dating. We hadn't had sex yet, mind you, but I did have dirty thoughts once in a while.

"Could you undo this clasp for me, babe?" I asked as I lifted my hair.

"Sure." I could hear the smirk in Zayn's voice as he undid my bra and it fell on the floor.

I put on my pajama top, still facing away from Zayn. Next I got on the floor to put on my pajama bottoms. I slipped off my jeans so that I was only in my panties. Then I pulled on my jammies.

"Sexy," Zayn said as I stood. I smiled back.

Zayn only wore sweatpants to bed, so I took my time observing the upper half of his body. He had nice abs, and his sweatpants were rather low around his hips....

"Take a picture, it'll last longer," Zayn said smugly, noticing my stare. He straightened and grinned at me. I rolled my eyes but smiled again.

I turned off the lights and felt my way to Zayn's bed. When I found it I collapsed on top of it.

"Ouch!" Zayn yelped. "You may be small, Abby, but you're sure not light!"

"Offensive," I mumbled as I lay down beside him.

"Okay, I'm sorry," he said.

"I was just kidding around with you."

I turned around so that my face was in Zayn's chest. I felt him wrap an arm around my waist, and I smiled contentedly. This was the life.

"I have the feeling I'm going to hate tomorrow," Zayn murmured. His chest vibrated when he spoke.

"Me too," I said. It was too dark for me to see his pretty face. "But it'll be okay."

"How can you be so sure?"

"We have each other. We love each other. We'll be fine."

"I suppose you're right...."

"This feels rather opposite!" I laughed. "The girlfriend is comforting the boyfriend."

"Well, sometimes the badass needs to reassure the 'sensitive' one."

"I thought it was an insult to call a guy 'sensitive'."

"From one guy to another, it is. But I've learned to use it to my advantage."

I laughed again and snuggled deeper under the duvet. "What were we talking about, again?"

"I can't remember.... Oh yeah, you leaving tomorrow."

"We don't have to say goodbye," I said.

"What makes you say that? Of course we have to say goodbye! What else would we say?"
