Chapter 19
Zaylin Matthews
You probably think that Harry left for tour and forgot about me. You probably think I had a broken heart and never loved again. Or I ran back to Zach and confessed my undying love for him.
That's not what happened at all.
Harry and I had a perfect relationship with each other. It was wonderful. He never left me, and I never left him. He never tried to push me into having sex with him, and I never tried to force him to do something he didn't want to. We were perfect.
I did end up going to college for the whole four years. Well, I'm only two years in, but I know for a fact I'm doing the whole four years. I'm so close to accomplishing what I really want to be, something I've wanted ever since I was a little girl: an author.
The other girls were happy too. Apparently, as soon as they got back to the States, they tried everything in their power to get back to Britain. Eventually they scrounged up enough money to move to Britain permanently with the rest of us.
Jasmine and Liam's relationship only got stronger with each passing day. Lou Teasdale took Jasmine in as a sort of apprentice or student or whatever, so now Jasmine is One Direction's number-two stylist. The couple couldn't be happier.
Mara and Niall adored each other. They dated only for a few years before Niall popped the big question. His exact words are, and I quote: "I can't live or love without you". It was quite adorable, really. Of course Mara agreed, and now the wedding is set in June. I was so happy for them.
Abby and Zayn were doing great. They did have a strong and happy relationship. They confessed to me that they had made love a couple times, and I told them I really didn't care. I wasn't their mother. I stopped worrying.
And then there was Louis, the lonely loner. He didn't stay alone for very long. He found an amazing girl named Eleanor, and she was definitely for him. We both had at least one thing in common: make fun of Louis until he exploded. It was a lot of fun.
One Direction went on tour and performed multiple concerts. The whole world adored them. In fact, they were so popular that Modest! decided to make a TV show out of all of their concerts so fans who couldn't go could still see their idols perform.
Every time there was a showing, Jasmine, Mara, Abby, Eleanor, and I would all gather together in the boys' bungalow's living room and watch them. We all had our special signals from them.
Every time "Back For You" was sung, the boys would do something for the cameras that was special to each of us.
When the camera was on Liam, he would just stick his tongue out. That's it. He would also act like Miley Cyrus for a bit, because he knew Jasmine adored her. I didn't like her very much, but whatever.
When the camera was on Louis, he would wink and hold out a thumbs up. It made Eleanor and I feel special.
When the camera was Zayn, he would close his eyes, stop moving, and just sing. Watching Abby's reaction was hilarious: she would try so hard not to fangirl and/or cry. She was so over that celeb crush for Louis.
When the camera was on Niall, he would do that amazing jump he always did: shooting his legs out to either side as he leaped into the air. Mara always panicked that he would hurt himself, but he never did.
And when the camera was on Harry, he didn't really do much. But I felt that he was looking at ME. Straight at me. And he CARED. It's hard to explain.
But when "Stand Up" was sung, that's when Harry really showed he cared. He would jump up and down and sing his heart out and do all kinds of weird things. I would get a warm feeling inside of me. That's OUR song.
