Chapter 4: A Special Mark

Renesmees P.O.V.

    In front of me, were the king and queen of The Vampire Kingdom. Another thing to know about them is that they are my parents. They were looking at me with bright smiles and tears in their eyes. Queen Emily stood up from her throne and opened her arms for me. I picked up the bottom of my dress and ran towards my mother. Once I was in front of her, I opened my arms and hugged my mom. Tears rolled down both our faces because of the overwhelming feelings. My dad got up from his throne and wrapped his arm around both of us.

    Im so glad you are finally here. My daughter has finally returned home, my mom cried into my shoulder.

    Im here, mom. And Im not leaving anytime soon, I stated while tightening my hold on her. I lifted my head and looked at my father, who was silently crying above us. He leaned down and kissed me forehead and tightened his arms around us. Jaz was silently crying on the other side of the room with Alex holding her. My mom soon let go of me and stepped back to look at me.

    You have grown so much. And you are so beautiful, my mom admired. I smiled at her and revealed my fangs to her. She returned the smile and showed me her fangs. And now that youre a vampire, you can never leave this world unless something happens. We finally have you as our own.

    I presume that Taemin took good care of you as you grew up, sweetheart? my father asked me. I nodded my head and hugged him tightly. He returned the hug and placed his head on my head.

    I still cant believe that Im now a vampire and princess of The Vampire Kingdom. Its gonna take awhile to get used to it, I explained. Dad let go of me and put his hands on my shoulders.

    Not only are you a princess and a vampire, you are our daughter, and you are finally home, he stated while leading me away from the thrones and out of the throne room. Mom followed behind me along with Taemin, Jaz and Alex. After walking for a little bit, we came across two doors that were guarded by two people. Both of them looked at Taemin and smiled. They moved their gaze upon my parents and myself, and bowed in respect. And now that you have returned, our people are excited to see you.

    After my father said that, the two guards opened the two doors and on the other side was a balcony. Screams erupted once we were in view. My dad lightly pushed me forward until we were in front of the railing. I looked down and over the railing and saw what seemed to be the whole kingdom standing below us.

    My dad cleared his voice and put up his hand, which the people stopped talking until it was completely silent.

    My people, I have great news. This young girl that is standing beside me is our long lost daughter. Myself and your queen had to send her to the human realm to secure her safety while we were in a quarrel with our enemies, the wolves. But now she has returned, and is ready to the princess we have waited for so long. May I present you, Princess Renesmee Heartfilia! My dad introduced me. Once he was finished speaking, everyone screamed and rejoiced for me. I saw my mom holding a tiara that had diamonds, black onyx, and rubies decorating it. She motioned me to lower my head, in which I did. My mom placed the tiara on my head and smiled at me. She lightly grabbed my head and kissed my forehead.

After my mom let go of me, I stepped forward the railing and looked at the people who are below me.

They are now my people. If anything tries to hurt them while Im around, they have another thing coming their way, I thought in my head as I waved and smiled at the people of the kingdom.

~Time Skip~

After showing myself to the people of The Vampire Kingdom, I was able to explore the castle with my mom and dad. They showed me the kitchen, the dining room,  the ballroom, and lastly, my new bedroom. When we opened the door, all the boxes and bags from when we moved here were piled up into my room. Luckily there wasnt a lot and that the room was big enough to be called an apartment.

Here is your new bedroom, sweetheart. I hope it is ok for you, my mom stated while standing next to my dad. I walked towards me new bed and sat on it.

This bedroom is perfect, mom. Thank you mom and dad, I thanked them with a huge smile on my face. My dad looked at my mom for a second and it seemed they were having a conversation in their own mind link. Whats wrong dad?

He sighed and looked at my mom, as if asking her to explain something. My mom shook her head and looked at me. There is something we need to explain to you now that you are a vampire.

I nodded and patted the spot next to me, telling her to come sit next to me. She walked towards my bed and sat on the spot next me. She took a deep breath and began explained. Now that you are a vampire, you must know how to hunt, use your power, and protect yourself and the people who are important to you. Another thing we need to explain is the topic of mates.

Mates? Like, soulmates? I asked with an eyebrow raised.

Yes. Like soulmates. Every vampire has a special mark that they get when they are either born or turned. For example, your mother and I have a sun mark on our right shoulder blades. Some after a few hours after you become a vampire, you should notice a mark on your skin. It can be anywhere so keep an out for it, my father explained sitting on the other side of me. I nodded my head in understanding.

So what powers do you guys have? I asked while looking at them with excitement in my eyes.

Your father is able to transform into any animal, while I have the power of the sun, my mom stated. After she said that, my dad turned into a tiger and licked my face. I pushed my dads face away and whipped away the saliva that was on my cheek. I looked at my mom and her hair was in red and orange flames. The heat from her hair could be felt all around the room.

You said after a few hours I become a vampire, I will get a mark anywhere on my body? I asked just to clarify. My parents nodded their head, but was interrupted by a knock on the door. Jaz popped her head around the door and saw us sitting on my bed.

Am I interrupting something? By the way your majesties, you are needed in the kitchen to select dinner for tonight, she said while walking into my new bedroom.

Do not worry, Jasmine. We were just telling Renesmee about the information about powers and mates. We will be going down the kitchen. Honey, you could stay up here and start to unpack, ok? my dad stated. I nodded my head and my parents got off my bed, kissed my forehead and went out of my room.

Jaz closed the door and walked towards me with a smile. So? What do you think of this place?

Its gonna take some time to get used to but it is amazing. To be honest, I cant wait to find out about my power and my mate! I exclaimed while walking towards a few boxes and opening them up to see what I can unpack.

There is one more thing about mates that you need to know about, Rene. Some vampires have one mate, some vampires have two mates. Once in a blue moon, some vampires have more than 5 mates.

Once she finished that statement, I looked at her as she was helping to unpack boxes, with my red eyes wide and my mouth hanging open. How is that possible?

Nobody knows. But they make it work.

I resumed unpacking and began thinking to myself. What if I have more than 5 mates? What will happen? What if they dont like me? What if I dont meet the means of being a good mate? My mind was going a mile-a-minute. I shook my head to get the bad thoughts out of my head and continued to unpack. I hung up clothes in the walk-in closet, put my female needs into drawers, and put shoes under all the hung up clothes. Once I was finished hanging stuff up, I changed into sweatpants that had Ravenclaw on the left leg and a Harry Potter t-shirt. I then went to my boxes and looked through some.

While I was looking through one box that had my posters in it, my right shoulder began to burn. I placed my hand on it and let out a quiet scream. Jaz heard this and saw me holding my shoulder.

That marking has started. Lets get you somewhere to sit down while it passes over, she explained while taking my left arm and leading my to my now made bed. Jaz sat me down and lifted the small sleeve and looked at my inflamed shoulder.

What is it? I asked while looking at it. I saw an outline of a crescent moon and 7 in the middle of the moon. It took full picture after 2 minutes. Jaz looked at the full mark and let out a gasp.

Rene, you know what I said earlier about some vampires have more than one or two mates? Well um you are very special because you have 7 mates.

What?!
