At Anchor Beach, the eighth graders have to go to the left wing of the school and as I walked to math class, I bumped into my friend Taylor. As we walked to first period, we chatted about my sad but juicy love life.

There was a short pause in our conversation until she broke the silence..

"So you're over Conner for sure?" She blurted out.

I thought about her question deeply, which made me forget to actually answer. "I uh.. I'm really not sure. I mean he was my first boyfriend," I told her, truthfully.

"I know but I mean you have to get over him som-"

*RINGGGGGGG*

Everyone rushed into their seats right before Mr. Farnham came in.

"Good morning students! Today we will be learning about Numerical Expressions," He announced.

As everyone complained about how much they hated math, I dozed off and looked out the window. The one thing I really love about Anchor Beach is that it's right by the beach. I love staring at the beautiful and calm view and inhaling the salty air because it reminds me of the memories with.. Conner.

I snapped out my thoughts when Mr. Farnham called me:

"Jude, could you come up to the board and do number 9."

I quickly walk up to the board and do the math problem. After that, I sit back down to resume my day dream.

I glance at the clock. It read 9:40 AM.

Wow, time does fly, I thought. Luckily, after math, I have a free period which gives me time to have some "Jude Time".

"Okay students, you're good for today. Talk amongst yourselves," Mr Farnham tells the class.

I turn around to continue my conversation with Taylor from earlier.

"So do you wanna come to church with me after school?" She asks me.

"I'll have to ask my moms, but I'm down" I respond.

"Cool, just meet me outside after school."

The bell rings and everyone rushes out of the classroom as if there was a bomb in it.

I make my way towards the computer lab when I bump into Mom. I quickly ask her about church with Taylor and she says it's fine but I have to be home by 7:30.

After that, the rest of the day went by fast. I met up with Taylor in front of the school like she said to.

"Ready to go?" She asks, hoping my mom said I was allowed to go.

"Yeah totally!" I say, joyfully.

"Cool lets go."

On the way there, Taylor talked about how the church isn't like any other church. It's more like a group for teens to talk about their day and stuff like that. It's not that far from Anchor Beach because we were there in less then 10 min.

When we got out of the car Taylor told me, "C'mon, theres someone I want you to meet."
