Emily opened her eyes and sat up straight, immediately regretting it because she had a pounding headache. She laid back down slowly and looked around, she was in her room. It was dark outside, the moon light shinning in from her window was the only reason she could see around her room.

She got up slowly and walked over to her bathroom. She noticed she was in a night gown and not in the clothes she had been wearing. It made her shiver to think who had changed her. Emily looked in the mirror, she grabbed the hairbrush and gently brushed her auburn hair. She tried to remember what had happened to her or when she went to bed. She remembered talking to Sarah, meeting Devon in the library, Aaron and her eating lunch outside, then going to the lounge and..... Emily dropped her hairbrush in the sink as her eyes widened with shock. 'He bit me!' Emily screamed in her head 'he bit me, he could have killed me!' Emily's thoughts became a whirl of commotion, she didn't know what to think.

She looked at her neck in the mirror but there was nothing, no mark or blood or a bandaid, nothing. Maybe it was a dream? Maybe that never even happened? Emily knew that wasn't true, she knew what had happened, and the headache made sense too. She walked out of her bathroom and out her bedroom door. She walked through the library, which was empty besides the enormous amount of books. She was surprised she didn't trip over anything, it was so dark in the room, she could barely see her hand in front of her face.

Emily slowly walked down the hallway, listening for footsteps, trying to stay hidden in the shadows. Before she could go down the staircase, she heard voices coming from the dimly lit lounge room. She tip toed over to the opening, standing on the other side of the wall so she couldn't be seen. Emily listened to the voices, one of them was Aaron, the other sounded like Devon. She listened closely as they spoke.

"What are you planning brother?" Devon said, Emily could practically hear Aaron smirk.

"Why do you care? Do you fancy her or something?" Aaron asked

"No, but she's not just any human, that's easy to tell"

"Oh no, she's nothing like any human I've ever met, or tasted" Aaron said devilishly, which made Emily gag.

"You drank from her?" Devon asked him, sounding a bit shocked.

"Yes, and it was divine" Aaron
practically moaned, like it was something sexual. Emily felt sick and it took all her will power not to vomit. "I don't even think my powers work on her, Arthur told me he struggled a bit trying to keep her under his hypnotism, I'll have to run a few tests on her" he said thinking out loud.

"Whatever you're thinking, it won't work, she won't agree to it" Devon said, a bit angry, Aaron chuckled.

"She will, I have her in the palm of my hand, she'll do anything I ask"

"Whatever you say" Devon stood up, and started to walk out of the room. As he stepped in the hall, he saw Emily, but he didn't make it obvious. For a moment, Emily thought he didn't actually see her.

"Where are you going brother?" Aaron said from inside the room. Devon turned around and leaned against the opening. He put his hands behind his back so Aaron wouldn't see him pointing down the hall. Emily knew what that meant and quietly started to walk to the library.

"I have some paperwork I need to get done before tomorrow night. Why? Did you need to talk about anything else?" Devon asked, Emily made her way down the hall and didn't hear what Aaron said back. She went into the library and took a deep breath. She stopped walking and just stood there, surrounded only by books and her thoughts. Emily closed her eyes, thinking about what they had said, what does Aaron want with her? Why do they think she's not.... normal? She suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder, Emily jumped and spun around to see Devon.
