You walked up to your parent's door, once you knocked, you stood still, waiting paitently. "Darling, we've got great news!" Your mother sang, pulling you inside. Your brother laughed at the face you were making. "News?" Your mother nodded quickly, her smile never fading. "We've set you up on a blind date!" Eyes widened and mouth opened, you weren't able to make a sound. "You two share all the same hobbies! And he's a handsome boy," Your brother was shocked as well, he hadn't closed his mouth yet. "The date is tomorrow night," Your father spoke, beaming. "His name is Kim Mingyu."

"Kim Mingyu?" Your brother asked, he had kindly helped you with getting ready for the date. "Yeah, it sounds really familiar," He nodded and smiled at your outfit once you had finished fixing it up. "How do I look?" He gave a thumbs up and you smiled gleefully.

Mingyu had finally decided to get up to get ready, he didn't want to go to the date that his parents had set him up on as he already had a girlfriend. A girlfriend that he never told his parents about. "Babe, why are you even bothering to go?" His girlfriend, Soomi, asked. "I need to, my parents want me to have a 'girlfriend'," She rolled her eyes, wishing that their relationship wasn't so secret. Soomi first pouted, but then realized there was no point in arguing. "I promise I won't fall in love," Mingyu held his pinky finger out, biting his bottom lip to stop himself from laughing at how ridiculous that idea was. Why would he fall in love when he already had someone he loved?

"What time is he supposed to be here?" Your brother questioned, looking around the fancy restaurant. "7:30?" You were both clueless about what he looked like so, trying to look for him wasn't going too well. "I'll just wait, it's okay," Your brother nodded and patted your shoulder for reassurance before leaving quietly in his car. "How am I supposed to find-" You looked up to find a man looking at his phone, confused on why the man looked so familiar, you stared at him. He had glanced at you, so you turned your attention to the busy street, taking in how busy yet beautiful it looked. There weren't many cars zooming past, but there were many people wandering the street; couples, families, the elderly. The whole bunch. There were many cafès and restaurants that lined up the street, people filling the seats with their warm beverages or food.

You sighed contently at a couple across the street who were smiling and laughing with each other. Once realizing that it was already 8 pm, you pouted. Looking over to your left you saw a glimpse of the man staring at you before he quickly whipped his head over to his left. With furrowed eyebrows you tapped his shoulder. "Excuse me?" He slowly looked at you, a nervous smile playing on his lips. "Why were you looking at me?" The man gulped, before reaching behind his neck and rubbing at it. "Y-you just, uh, look familiar..." He stuttered, you smiled at him. "Don't worry, you look familiar too," He smiled back, he had tried to say something but you could clearly see that he 'lost his voice'. "Y/N?" You turned around to face an old classmate, shocked to see that he apparently was your date. "Oh fuck," You mumbled under your breath.

Mingyu looked between you and the male behind you, he then sighed. "Hello, Wonwoo-hyung," Your eyes had widened when Mingyu mentioned another old classmate of your's. "Well, shit," You whispered so only you could hear. The two had been your classmates from middle school and they both looked completely different since when they were little. No wonder you couldn't put your finger on who Wonwoo was. "It was nice seeing you, but Y/N and I have a date," Mingyu smiled, tugging at your hand so you could follow him into the restaurant. "Have a nice night, Wonwoo-ssi," You bowed before waving the male a goodbye. Wonwoo leant against the wall, sighing to himself, by the looks of things, he had been stood up by his date.

"So, how's life?" You asked awkwardly, both of you had tried to make small talk but it only lasted for a few moments before everything became awkward again. "It's, uh, good," He replied, smiling at you. You glanced around the room, but stopped once you spotted Wonwoo smiling at you through the large window at the front of the restaurant. Smiling at him back, you did a small shy wave. Mingyu noticed of course, looking between you two again. He excused himself once he thought of plan, leaving his seat and walking out of the restaurant. "You should go and sit with her," Mingyu motioned to you with his head, a small smile placed faintly on his lips. "What? Why?" Wonwoo questioned, his head tilted to the side slightly. "You deserve her more than I do," Mingyu smiled, referring to when both the males had a crush on you in middle school.

You sat in your seat, using your hand to lean on while quietly waiting for your 'date'. A hand had softly been placed on the table, slightly startled you looked up. "Sorry, did I scare you?" Wonwoo had reached out to place his hand on your shoulder, his face displaying concern. "No, I'm fine," He sat down in front of you, his eyes twinkling. "Mingyu had to rush home, he told me to keep you company," You nodded, understandingly.

"It was lovely with you tonight," Wonwoo couldn't stop smiling, his cheeks hurting from it. "I hope to see you around soon," The both of you had already exchanged numbers and promised to go out with each other again but before leaving, you gave Wonwoo a quick peck on the cheek. Wonwoo's smile only brightened. When you left, the male was left alone on your porch, smiling like an idiot.
