The Billionaire (On Hold)

Chapter 8

The weekend came by rather quickly. Friday evening after work, I hurried home to see Maddie already packed and ready sitting inside the living room area with my mom.

"Hey" I said greeting her and my mom then kissed mom on her cheek.

"Finally" Maddie said."I've been waiting for hours"

"Really?" I said rolling my eyes, knowing she was only exaggerating.
"Yup"

"Fine" I said shaking my head, "I'm gonna go pack right now"
Turning away, I proceed to walk to my room with her following closely.

I then realised that mom didn't ask why we were packing so I figured that Maddie told her about us going with the guys.

Walking inside my room, I threw my purse on the chair in the corner while Maddie then jumped on my bed.

I walked over to my closet and took the blue and white travel bag from out there. Placing it on the bed I went back to the closet to find some suitable camping clothes, toiletries, a flashlight, bug spray for precaution and other road trip stuff.

A hour passed with me packing and Maddie lending a hand when she felt like it. During the hour we received a call from Mark to tell us that they will be here to pick us up at five.

When I was was finished packing, I went to the bathroom to freshen up, then put on a black legging, a white tank top, a grey cardigan to cover and a black sneakers.

Five o'clock came by pretty quickly. We were both packed and ready for the trip.
We heard and the blow of a car horn indicating that the guys have arrived. Walking done the stairs we saw mom waiting at the foot for us.

"Take care of yourselves OK?" She said kissing me on the cheek and hugging Maddie.

"We will" we replied simultaneously. Giving her one final hug we began to walk out the front door.

Parked outside was a black BMW that both Mark and Rafael were seated in. Stepping out the car, they both greeted us.

"Hello ladies" Mark said smiling charmingly.

"Girls" Rafael said giving both of us a nod with his hands placed in his pockets.

"Hey" both Maddie and I replied.

"You ready?" Mark asked the two of us.

Nodding, we then got into the car and began our journey.

The ride to where ever we were going took about 3 hours including stopping at the gas station and a diner. Couple minutes later, we arrived at a beautiful wooden cabin after traveling through a long dirt path.

The cabin was surrounded by tall pine tresses and some​ part of the cabin wall was made of stones also . The light in there was turned on indicating that someone was here.  It was beautiful,  the golden lights inside shone brightly outside. I couldn't wait to get inside to see the rest of it.

Walking inside the living room ,I wasn't disappointed, it was warm and had a homey feeling to it. There were two long burgundy sofas and a love seat inside,a cozy built-in lit fireplace. There was a wooden coffee table placed in the centre on top of big nice burgundy rug.

We then moved up the wooden stairs and went to the rooms that were given to Maddie and I .
Maddie and I both had separate bedrooms.
Dropping my bag on the soft cozy looking bed, I then went back downstairs to see what the others were doing. I walked inside the small living area and saw them all sitting by the fireplace.

"So, what will we be doing tomorrow?" Maddie asked when I sat down .

"We'll go fishing in the morning then go for a swim by the lake in the woods" replied Rafael.

Nodding my head I said "cool".
I suddenly felt tired so I told them I would be heading off to bed. Maddie and I both left for our rooms then bid each other goodnight.

When inside the room, I changed into a T-shirt and a shorts, brushed my teeth then went to bed. Hoping tomorrow will be fun and exciting.
