Pale Moon Prowl {ON HOLD}

Chapter 4

After school, Leo rides home with Lyra and Ezra. Lyra is freaking out the whole time texting me everything he says.

L: OMG he likes SNL

S: ok thanks Lyra. Btw I'm drivin so stop textin me.

L: dude just make Elsa drive. Leo says him and Missy are just dating :)

S: Lyra stop!! And YAYAYAYAY

L: oops he sees I'm excited that they are just dating. I HAVE TO GO LYRA OUT-

S: bye see you at home.

L: STOP TEXTING BACK!

We get home before Lyra and the boys. They are probably stopping at the store. It's about 10 minutes until they get back. My wolf is fighting me. It takes everything I have in me not to change.

" Heeeey we are home!!!" Lyra screams running towards me. " Guess what Ezra told me that Leo thinks you and him are mates " she whispers into my ear. Hearing this makes my wolf leap with joy. MATES MATES MATES We are mates with Leo and his wolf!! My wolf is screaming.

"I'm going to head to my room! If you need me I will be there." I shout to no one in particular.

I head off to my room and walk inside. I screech. Leo is sitting on my bed!

" I'm sorry I startled you. " He apologized wholeheartedly.

" Oh it's fine. I just didn't-" I struggle to find words. His sexy eyes bear through me. " I didn't think you'd be in here. " I say flopping down next to him.

"We really need to talk." He says.

" I know"

" Shay, I don't know what happened today. " He says looking me straight in the eyes." But you made me feel something I've never felt before." He grabs my hand. Electricity jolts through me. I really just want to stretch up and kiss his full lips. I've never kissed a man before.

" I think... I think I need... I need to break up with Missy." he says as our faces gradually get closer. I just nod my head.

" This feels so right." He says pulling away " I've never felt like this with Missy"

"Is she wolf?" I ask.

"Well yes! This is an all wolf school!"

I snuggle into his shoulder. " I thought you two were mates." I whisper.

" No of course not!" He cups my jaw with his hands. " Me and Missy will never have what I have with you"

Just then the door opens and Kat giggles. " Alright lovers... Dinners ready!" She laughs.

Ring Riing Riiing Riiiing Riiiiing

"Hello?" Leo says answering the phone.

"Oh sorry Mom! I'm at a friends. No. Yes mother. Yes. Okay. I'm on my way now. " He says. He hangs up.

"I apologize greatly but I must go. " there is a hint of sadness I'm his voice. "Here's my number. " He gives me a piece of paper. I put it in my pocket. Kat leaves.

" Do you have to go? It'll be hard to be separated. " I hug him tightly.

" I have to." He grabs me tighter and kisses my forehead. I feel light. If Leo wasn't holding me right now I would fall. I don't want him to let go. Ever.

It's been four hours since Leo left. My wolf is going crazy! I'm trying to go to sleep but whenever I close my eyes and all I see is Leo.

His brown hair flowing over his ears. Baby blue eyes staring at me in awe. His broad shoulders and abs-

" I need some fresh air" I say aloud.

I go into the kitchen and make myself a cup of hot cocoa. I go over to the sliding back door. It's 12:00 pm and the stars are out. I hear the squeaking of Lyra and Ezra's bed. Hearing this only makes me want Leo more. My wolf whimpers. I open the back door and go out into the porch. The bed squeaking stops.

I try to get my mind off of everything. I look up into the stars. I see the Big Dipper I always loved this constellation. It's the easiest to spot.

"Hey how are you doing?" Lyra asks. I jump. " Sorry Hun. "

"Eh I'm okay. My wolf is begging to see Leo though. "

" Aha so you need to sleep?" She asks

" Yes! I do!"

"I'll be right back." Lyra comes out with some pills the size of my thumbnail.

"Here. It knocks you out in 3 minutes flat."

I swallow the pills with a gulp of chocolate milk.

" Do you want to talk about anything Shay?"

" No I better get off to bed before I fall asleep. Thank you Lyra. " I hug her. My wolf is calming down. " Goodnight"

"Goodnight Shay"

I head off to bed and fall asleep right when I get comfortable. I dream about Leo and I's wolfs running through the forest.
