~*~Emma's POV~*~
"Don't worry Em'. Of course he is gonna forgive you at some point. I mean, if not, then he just lost a great person," Chloe reassures me.
"You sure? This seems so sudden. Now I know what celebrities feel when they get haters! How do they deal with this on daily basis is beyond me," I tell her. It's after Math. I'm at my locker with Chloe. Everyone is still staring, snickering and gossiping; it's getting very, very, very irritating.
"Yeah, of course I'm sure. Plus, Sar' texted me saying she talked to him. And you know Sarah, of course she convinced him!" Chloe reassures me.
"I sure do hope so," I say, closing my green locker door, "I have to thank her later for everything."
"Oh, by the way, did I tell you our account just reached 2,300 followers! I'm so happy!" Chloe exclaims. I'm too sad and busy pitying myself to even care she's talking about her account in a moment where I'm not exactly comfortable in my life.
"OMG! That's amazing! I'm so happy for you," I hug her, and we both head to lunch.
I still haven't told her about the kiss. I want to, but I want to tell her when Sarah is present.
"Has Miss Maya graded your homework?" I ask her.
"Yeah, she said I did a good job. I got a B+. You?"
"No, she says that she knows I can do better. Therefore, she is letting me edit it."
"Of course you can do better! Nobody says 'therefore' instead of 'so' other than you," We both laugh hardly at her comment. I needed this.
We sit at our usual table. Chloe gets up to get food. "Aren't you coming?" She asks me.
"I don't feel hungry," I tell her.
"That is ridiculous. You freaking fainted. It's not healthy for you. I'm getting you food and that's it." She scolds me.
"Hey, Emma," Christy Sandie stops by our table. "I heard what happened. Here is a free pass to anything you want on the menu." She hands me a card.
"Oh, Christy, you don't need to do this," I say and smile, grateful for her.
"Oh, it's okay. After everything that happened, I feel like you need it," She grins.
"You don't believe the article?" I ask her, very curiously, my eyebrows shooting up.
She shakes her head. "After that scene, no way. You have always kept a low profile. Plus, I remember how you kept skipping Drama class in middle school." She laughs and leaves.
"Wow," I say, overwhelmed.
"She's so nice, OMG," Chloe gushes.
"I know, right!" I agree. It just occurred to me that I haven't seen Kim since we parted ways in the morning to get to class. I look around and spot her on a table with Mark Jay. I remember him from Geography period. (A/N check Chapter 11: Carole Janesson for refresher of who Mark Jay is.) She's laughing with him.
Mark Jay is a pretty handsome guy. He has dark skin, but not too dark. He's got brown eyes and brown hair, but his jawline is to die for! And he's a pretty muscular guy.
I'm happy she's made a friend. She's sitting with some guys and girls whom I don't recognize except for a few. There's that girl, Amanda Husk who's popular, and Connor James who is very popular.I'm happy Kim made her way to one of the popular squad.
"So...you coming?" Asks Chloe, "You can't say no. You have a free lunch pass!"
I laugh, "Fine!"
