I see Shawn blush. He's too cute when he does that. It kills me. I look away and see Brian coming. Wait a second, why isn't he in class? I wave at him, and he waves back.
I look at Shawn and say, "That's Brian, one of my best friends."
I look to my left and see Brian is now standing beside me. "Hey, Brian!" I say and hug him.
"Hey, Em!" He hugs back.
"This is Shawn, he is new, Shawn this is Brian, he is not new," I introduce them.
"Hey man," waves Brian. Brian doesn't care about celebrities. No wonder he didn't recognize Shawn Mendes.
"Hey, Brian," replies Shawn with a smile.
"Why aren't you in class?" I ask Brian.
"I literally just got here," laughs Brian.
"You got to be kidding me! The principal is going to kill you!" I exclaim.
"He can't! I got a note!" He waves a paper in his hand.
WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?! "You little—"
"So, Shawn, which school were you before coming her," Interrupts Brian. I suddenly notice he has a very punchable face. And I felt a great need to punch it.
"Oh," Shawn looks like he has been caught off-guard, "I, er, was homeschooled my whole life. Till now anyway."
"Cool. How does it feel? Got any friends?" Asks Brian. Now, I notice he not only has a punchable face, but also a kickable body.
"Brian!" I exclaim, and give him a rude glance.
"What? I'm curious!" Laughs Brian.
"It's alright," laughs Shawn, "and yes, I have a lot of friends." He winks at me and I blush.
SHAWN MENDES JUST WINKED AT ME. I FEEL SPECIAL.
"Neat," says Brian. He was acting a bit odd, that was the first time I hear him say the word 'neat'. "So I have to get going, to the principal's office. Bye."
"Bye," Shawn and I both say as Brian turns and leaves.
Once Brian is gone, I laugh. I don't know why, I just do. Brian said 'neat', why can't I get over that.
"Why're you laughing?" Asks Shawn with a puzzled look on his face.
"It's the first time I hear him say 'neat'," I laugh harder. WHY AM I BEING SO STUPID? SHAWN MUST THINK I'M AN IDIOT!
Surprisingly, he laughs, "Must be funny, hearing him say a word he never said." And we both laugh really hard.
The view must be weird.
