A refresher! Dakota was about to tell Desi and Leesh her crush.

Desi hyped up in a happy tome

"Well come on! Quit leaving us in suspence"

Dakota giggled

"It's a secret"

"AAWW!!"

A nurse popped her head throught the open door

"Please be quiet in here, other patients are trying to sleep"

The nurse went away. We all couldnt help but giggle.

"Hey, Destiny, Leesh.. Umm.. Can I please... Umm... Be your friend?"

Desi and I looked at each other for a moment. We turned our faces back to Dakota and both gladly said with a hue smile on our face

"Yes"

Back at school. More school work, more homework. Luck I enjoy school.

I saw both Desi and Dakota waiting for me. They both had smiles on their faces. People were staring at us as we walked together. The two most popular girls from different cliques of the school hanging out together.

Desi said bye as she walked off to her class while Dakota and I walked to Physics together. Dakota and I sat together, the whole class was frozen in shock. Looks like things will be changing around here.

Dakota signalled for Cole to sit next to us. Crap! i gave a sharp whisper to her 

"What are you doing?!"

"It's for your own good, you like him dont you? Maybe sitting next to him will be a start. Thats what friends do right?"

"Yes but I'm so nervous"

"He's really nice, you'll be fine, I promise"

I hope so.

Cole slowly made his way over to our table, his head lowered. Ugh! How am I gonna do this?!

He pulled out a chair, not just any chair but the one next to me! EEEPPPP!!!

I tried to keep my cool.

"Hey Dakota. Did you finish the Chemistry homework?"

His husky voice was like silk to my ear. He sat down next to me. COLE SAT NEXT TO ME!

I could see the detail of his face. Perfectly chiseled jaw, big brown eyes, soft brown hair, perfect lips, ama--

Dakota nudged me and whispered

"You're staring"

Oh no! I hope I havent gone all red!

"Hey Leeshy"

Cole greeted me with a twirpy voice.

"Long time no talk"

The truth is, Cole and I have a history together. We were both in grade 1 when we first layed eyes on each other. We played together as children and grew up together. Once the whole idea of cliques started during school, we lost our friendship. My crush stayed with him, but I was never entirely sure if he like me back. He became a nerd and I became a Cheerleader. He was bullied and teased and I did nothing to help. He would never fight back either. He just silently took the punches.

I felt so bad that I completely stopped talking to him. Our friendship was completely lost. If anyone asked me If I was friends with him I would just say "No. I don't associate with nerds". I pretended to forget him, and i thought he forgot me, or atleast thought I was a typical bitch.
