I think I just naturally can't do anything besides procrastinate. Oh well. I really don't have an excuse besides just not having inspiration, which is annoying. Whatever, it may take a century, but I'll do this!

The Kratt brothers couldn't get to Africa fast enough; it seemed as though every passing second lasted an hour. Chris and Martin exchanged nervous glances the whole way, fearing for the Hyenas' safety.

As soon as the Tortuga hit the dry ground, the brothers took off in the direction in which they had decided Gourmand was probably headed. It was hard to tell, with this particular villain, what to expect.

Chris felt a pang of anxiety when he realized Gourmand had brought his truck, the one that unfolded into a restaurant. The younger Kratt had spent far too much time in Gourmand's clutches, more than he'd like to admit. But the anxiety faded as Chris searched his brother's face. Martin was looking through binoculars at the truck from behind a rock, which the brothers had claimed as their hideout. Chris couldn't see any details without the binoculars, but it was easy to guess what was happening when he saw Martin's face harden into a small frown.

"He's going to use the Hyenas to make tough steak that won't spoil." Martin said grimly, not taking his eyes off the truck in the distance. "At least that's what it looks like... he's written his plan down on paper and is waving it around, I can see it easily."

Chris gagged dramatically and Martin shot him a 'no messing around' look, which was very out of character for Martin. Then again, the older Kratt did seem to be very worried. The younger brother became serious again. "Doesn't he know Hyena meat will spoil even faster in this heat? I mean, he can't be that stupid."

Martin snorted lightly at that, adjusting the straps on his backpack. "You'd be surprised." He replied.

"So... what's the game plan?" Martin asked after a brief pause. Chris looked at him, startled.

        "Why are you asking me?"

"Because you're the one with the plan."

Chris simply nodded proudly at Martin's words. He did, after all, always come prepared.

"Well..." He started, and glanced at his older brother before continuing. "First, we should get a closer look. Gourmand's plan might be bigger than what meets the eye. Then, we should plan from there, once we have the information. But I bet one of us could distract him while the other frees whatever animals he's captured."

Martin nodded in agreement. "He's captured some young Hyenas, five, from what I could tell. But there might be more. Why don't you- after we spy for a bit- distract him while I get the babies."

Chris knew Martin just loved to be around baby animals, so he went along with it. Martin punched the air with his fists, finally smiling that big smile of his that Chris had begun to expect. He also punched his younger brother in the shoulder, lightly.

"Great! Now let's get this party started!"

Neither of the brothers heard the low growl of excitement that echoed from within Chris's backpack.

Well that was interesting, let us see how Chris's plan plays out, shall we? Until then, see you on the creature trail!

          Keep on creature adventuring!~
