You watched Dean grieve from the other side, knowing that this was your fault.

After spending so long hunting you always thought that you would go out guns blazing.

Not in a damned car accident.

The more days you spent watching Dean, the worse you felt inside.

How could you have left him like that.

You knew that he worried about you on hunts.

He worried about Sam too.

It hadn't even been the first time you had argued over a hunt, so why you reacted the way you did was beyond you.

At the moment you were sat in the bunker watching as Dean scrolled through his laptop looking for cases.

Of course, you thought, burying himself in his work.

"I can give you back to him" an unfamiliar voice broke you from your thoughts.

Turning around you spotted a short man in a black suit and small pin on his chest which looked like a bird.

"Who the hell are you?" you asked.

"Does it matter?" he asked.

"Yeah, it kinda does" you snarled back "I'm not some idiot who you can trick into some deal".

He scoffed at you "I know exactly who you are".

Dean stood up behind you and left the room.

"He is breaking more and more each day you know" the man drew your attention back to him.

"Don't you think I know that!" you spat back and the laptop screen glitched.

"No need to get angry now" the man smiled mockingly.

"Who are you?" you asked again.

He sighed and rolled his eyes at you "my name is Seker"

"The Egyptian god?" you questioned as you thought about the lore you had read on him.

"Yes" he smiled smugly "and I have a proposition for you".

When you remained quiet he proceeded to tell you about the proposition.

Maybe you would be able to return to Dean after all.

----

"Dean I'm not saying that it wasn't a successful case, I'm just saying that you were taking more risks than you had to" Sam tried to reason with his brother as they drove back to the bunker.

"There is always risks in this job Sam" Dean replied bluntly.

Sam sighed and thought about how best to word what he wanted to say.

"Don't bother" Dean interrupted his thinking.

"What?" Sam asked innocently.

"You are gonna talk some crap about me not coping".

Sam looked guiltily out of his window, knowing that arguing with Dean would get him nowhere.

The rest of the drive back was spent in silence.

Sam was worried about losing his brother.

It was already hard enough having lost you, you had always been a good friend to Sam and had a calming effect on Dean too.

But now that you were gone, Sam was worried that it was all going to blow up around him.

He had to find a way to get through to Dean.

And soon.

----

You heard the bunker doors open and close as you sat nervously in one of the chairs at the table.

Sam spotted you first and froze where he was stood.

"What?" Dean sounded agitated as he pushed past his brother.

When he saw you, he pulled out his gun and aimed it at you.

"Who the hell are you?" he asked.

"It's me Dean" you smiled at him "here" you picked up a silver blade and ran it across your arm before grabbing some holy water and taking a drink.

Dean lowered his gun before running over to you and pulling you tightly into his chest.

"I'm so sorry Y/n. I'm so so sorry" he mumbled as he held you.

Sam was still stood across the room and was looking at you sceptically.

"I'm not saying that I'm not happy to have you back" Sam started "but how?"

You sighed as you pulled away from Dean and sat back down.

"I made somebody a deal" you confessed.

"You did what?" Dean asked in a panic "who did you make a deal with?"

"Seker" you told him but he simply shrugged at you.

Sam, however, widened his eyes at you "the Egyptian god?"

You nodded.

"What did he want?" Dean asked cautiously.

"I have to kill somebody for him" you told them.

"WHAT!" Sam and Dean spoke at the same time.

"Well not a person" you spoke quickly, trying to comfort them "Nephthys".

"Another god. Why?" Sam asked.

"I don't have all the details" you admitted "but I know that he has some issues with her and wants her taking care of".

"Why did he want you to do it?" Dean asked.

"Believe it or not, I have quite a good hunting reputation" you tried to joke but cringed when you reminded yourself of the argument you'd had with Dean.

He seemed to think of it too, as his face dropped into a frown.

"What if you don't do it?" Sam asked.

"It's non-negotiable" you said as you pulled up your sleeve.

A golden cuff with blue and green patterns was wrapped around your wrist.

"What is that?" Dean asked.

"It's to make sure I uphold my end of the bargain" you told them "if Nephthys isn't dead in 7 days I will be"
