The Dark Love That Surrounds Us

-8:25 AM-

I finally arrived back in Korea after a whole year in the states. I couldn't wait to see my older sister and my mom.

"I wonder if Mi Soo's happy to see me.. I still don't get why she sent me a letter when she could just text me."

I carried my luggages and saw omma. I waved at her and she spotted me and also waved back.

"She looks happy." I said.

I walked to her in a fast pace. I can see her happiness on her face.

"Omma~~!" I said.

"Aigoo~ my youngest daughter finally old now! She could go out on her own."

"Omma~ I'm 20 so I'm not a baby anymore!"

She broke the hug and smiled. She stroke my hair.

"Your sister is waiting for you.. she missed you a lot."

"Mi Soo? Where is she? Why didn't she come with you?"

"Let's go. She been waiting for such a long time."

I nodded and followed her out. We got a taxi and I knocked out once I was inside.

-Time skipped-

"Eun Soo, wake up. We arrived." Said omma's voice.

I slowly opened my eyes and noticed this is the jar of ashes memorial.

"Omma? Why are we here?"

"C'mon."

I got out and paid the taxi driver as I brought out my luggages. Omma lead the way as I walked behind her.

She stopped after a while and she turned around facing me. I stopped as well and looked at her confused.

"Eun Soo-ah.."

"Mhm omma?"

"Say hi to your sister."

She step aside and I looked ahead of me. My heart sank with pressure. My heart hurts.

"Mi Soo..?" I said sadly.

"Your sister was killed.. after 5 days of your traveling abroad."

"A-ani.. don't tell me that she really died.. she said she'll be with me until the end! She said she'll stay with me! Omma! Who did this to her!?"

"I'm not sure.. the last time I saw her was even she went to Busan with her boyfriend."

"Who? What if he killed her!?"

"He's someone who helped us and loved Mi Soo with all his heart. He's really warm hearted and kind. I'm sure it wasn't him."

"How can you be sure?"

"Eun Soo-ah, trust me. It's not him. It must be someone who doesn't like your sister."

"Who doesn't like my sister? She's the best sister in the world!"

"Calm down sweetie.. I'm sure Mi Soo doesn't want to see you like this."

I started crying as I stare at the jar and pictures of her.

"Unnie.. why did this to you..?"

I cried and cried not believing it. She's only 21 years old, a year older than me. How could she leave the world already?

-Next morning-

-7:30 AM-

I woke up and did my morning routine. I went to the kitchen to cook for omma and me.

I almost make one for Mi Soo but I remembered that she's no longer here. I sighed in sadness and continue what I was doing.

"I need to go back to school soon.. university..."

I quickly put it on the table and took off to omma's room.

"Omma~ breakfast is ready!" I said between the door.

I opened the door and saw sleepy omma. I smiled and fixed her blanket.

"She must've been tired after a whole year suffering this."

I looked at her again before shutting the door. I went to the kitchen again and covered the foods except mine. I ate mine and washed the dish.

I went to my room to get ready to find a university. I went to look in my closet and found the perfect one.

I grabbed my bag and left a note for omma before heading out.

I searched for the most near university and saw one that isn't so far.

I walked there since its only 10 minutes away. I played my music on not hearing anything.

Once I arrived I turned off my music and put it in my bag. I looked around and it's not bad afterall.

I walked inside and searched for the office. However I bumped into a person on the way.

"Ah! Mianhaeyo I wasn't watching."

"Aniya, it's okay. I wasn't also watching."

I looked up to see the person and he looks.. cute?

I was on cloud nine until I came back to reality.

"Ah! Do you know where is the office?" I asked.

"Of course, it's down on your left. Make a turn and it'll be on your right."

"Ahh~ thank you!"

I quickly rushed and entered the office.

-Jimin's POV-

I was about to go meet Taehyung but I bumped into someone on the way. She apologized and so did I. But when she raises her head up to look at me, my heart skipped a beat.

Mi Soo?

She asked where the office was and I gave her the directions. She immediately went away as I watch her back.

"Is it really you Mi Soo?"
