I woke up early the next day and was excited to see him. I swam so fast that I almost past the beach. I swam up onto the shore. I had brought one of my favorite water lilies to the shore. I placed it next to our handprints, which were still there. I heard crunching once more as I turned around, he was standing right behind me. I screamed and swam under the water. Questions started racing through my mind. What if he saw me!! Of course he saw me!!?? Was he scared!!?? I'm scared!!?? Does he know it was me who put my hand in the sand!!??
The rest of the day I was to scared to go back, but after a while I thought maybe he had left since it was around that time. I cautiously swam to the surface. He was still there!! He was focusing on the water. "Hey, you!!" He screamed at me. I ducked under the water, not sure what to do. When all of a sudden something grabbed my hand and pulled me to the surface. It was the two-leg. For a split second we stared into each other's eyes then he lifted me onto the shore. He gasped as I tried to loosen his grip on my wrist. He quickly dropped my hand and ran away as soon as he saw my shiny tail. I watched as he ran as fast as he could. I started to feel something warm on my face. Salty water was coming from my eyes. Just as the two-legs were.
