"Y/N!!! I have something for you!" Petia said walking into her room.

"Bruh... Ever heard of knocking. You don't know what I could've been doing," Y/N joked.

"Shut up, and listen," Petia said as he sat down, "I've raised enough money for you to take some Piano and vocal lessons down at that fancy music place in L.A!"

"DJ's MT's! Really?! How?!?! Why?!?!?!" Y/N said as she jumped around.

"Yes really. How? I just told you I saved up enough money. Why? Because I know how much you love to sing and play piano, and I heard this place is a good place to learn and expand on your talents," Petia said with a smile.

"It's not just good! It's the BEST!!!" Y/N said jumping for joy, "THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" she said again as she gave Petia a tight hug! He hugged her back.

"No problem Y/N/N," he said with a smile on his face. "Wait. How did you know I do those things? I've never done any of those things in front of anybody before?" asked Y/N.

"Please! I've known you all your life, I'm practically your father! I'm watching you when you don't even think I'm watching," Petia started.

"That's kinda weird Pete," Y/N joked.

"Shut up, I'm serous tho. I know everything about you girl. You're my child and that's how it should be. So of course I know about those things!" Petia said.

Y/N flashed another big smile, and Petia laughed, but then his laughter died down and he looked sad. "What's wrong Petey?" asked Y/N.

"It's just that... To take your lessons you will have to be relocated to an orphanage in L.A, and unfortunately they had no job openings so I will not be able to go with you. I'm stuck here being assistant director with Coin," Petia

Y/N's face dropped immediately. "Oh... Well then I don't want to go." revealed Y/N.

"Yes you do. Don't worry about me, you'll only be there for a few months, because that's as much as I could pay for, and the orphanage down there is better than this one. Especially the director, she's not as douchey as Mr. Coin," Petia said with a laugh.

Y/N laughed to as she wiped a stray tear that escaped from her eye. Petia noticed. "Awww Y/N/N. Don't cry," he said as he pulled her in for a hug.

She hugged him back and inhaled deeply.

"I don't want to leave you. You're like my dad. You're more than "like a dad" you're my friend. My only friend... I don't wanna leave you. You're the only one who's ever been there for me. The only one that's protected me. You saved me from those evil foster parents. Y- yo- you're always there to help me. I don't wanna leave you," Y/N said as she wrapped her hands tightly around his neck.

He pulled her into a tighter hug and a stray tear, he didn't even know he had, left his eye.

"It'll be alright Y/N. The people there are a lot nicer than here. The director there is a lot better than John. She's the wife of my friend. They're good people and will take care of you. I promise nothing bad will happen to you there. Plus, I'll visit whenever I have the chance, on every vacation day."

"Promise?" she mumbled through tears.

"I promise," he said as he comforted her and himself.

*1 week later*

Through tears Y/N waved goodbye to Petia who was the only person who stood outside the orphanage to say goodbye. She never had any friends there, mainly because the kids she grew up with there were all adopted already, and the kids currently there were all really young and had just gotten there. Giving her no time to grow close to anybody. As the bus, taking her from Portland, Oregon to Los Angeles, California, wheeled away from the building- and Petia- she saw many tears start to stream down his face. She's never seen him cry like that before, in fact the only time she saw him cry-only a tear or two came out, But now he sobbed as he watched her leave. She didn't turn around until Petia was out of view. When he was she cried the hardest she had in all her life, she wanted to go back, but she was also wanted to improve her skills and not waste Petia's money. As the engine of the bus droned on, Y/N was lulled to sleep. She woke up a couple of hours later, the bus still going, they were 2 hours away from L.A when the driver turned the radio.

"Tonight on celebrity highlights we have breaking news! Dinah Jane Hansen has come out of hiding! She's gotten the band back together and are going on a reunion tour! Why, you might ask, is she coming back after all these years? Well we've got that coming up next with our personal interview with the legend herself."-Radio Personality.

Y/N's ears perked up at the name of Petia's celebrity crush. The interview started soon after.

"So, Ms. Hansen-"-Interviewer

"Please. Call me Dinah."-Dinah

"Ok then, Dinah, Please do tell why you left us all baffled those many years ago."-Interviewer

"Well, many of you may know that I was pregnant back in 2017, and I was told that my child did not survive, but a few weeks ago someone-who has now passed-told me the truth. My ex-label, epic, took my child away from me by doing something completely unethical. That day, when I thought I had lost my child, I vowed to never sing again. I kept true to that but a few weeks ago when I was told the truth, it all changed."-Dinah

"If you don't mind me asking, what is this truth you keep referencing?"-Interviewer

"The truth? Well you see, the doctor on duty that night came to my place of business a week or two ago, and told me that he and his staff were each paid 5 million dollars to tell me my baby had died, and to tell the autorities/orphanges that her mom had died giving birth. After asking for description of this man I've come to determine that it was L.A Reid. The sad part is it didn't surprise me knowing he did it. Before I went into labor L.A/epic told me that if the girls and I wanted to stay signed I would have to give up, my child, because it would bring bad publicity. And in the beginning I agreed. But that night, 15 years ago, I saw her for a few seconds and I knew I couldn't do it. She was perfect, and I wanted to keep her, but epic must have knwn I'd do that and took my baby from me anyhow. I'll never get to see her grow up, but I want to be apart of her life now."-Dinah

"And how do you plan on doing that Dinah?"-Interviewer

"Well in the beginning I contacted my sister. She was able to get me records of every child who matches the information I know about my daughter. But there is still too many who match, so I'm getting the group back together, and we're going on a reunion tour. Not just a reunion for me and the girls, whom I have missed dearly, but also a hopeful reunion for my daughter and I. I want this tour to raise as much publicity as possible so that everyone knows I'm searching for her. So that she knows I'm out here looking for her. I'm gonna find my daughter if it's the last thing I do, mark my words."-Dinah

"Awww Dinah that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard. Is there any information you can give us about your daughter, so that we may help find her?"-Interviewer

"I don't know much about her. That's why, as I've said, my sister and I have been searching the orphanage records of all of California and have been overwhelmed with records that match hers but I do know this. She was born on Y/B/D 2017 at Los Angeles County Hospital. She's got the most gorgeous Y/E/C eyes ever, and the silkiest looking Y/H/C in history. She's a beauty and I just want her to know I never abandoned her. If your listening sweetie, you may not even know your mine, but I love you dearly."-Dinah

Tears are heard from the radio interviewer.

"That's all for today guys, but tune in tomorrow for your latest celebrity news. I'm Kelly McAdams and I wanna thank Dinah Jane Hansen for being with us today. So long and goodbye."-The radio interviewer choked out before she ended the interview.

Y/N sat on the bus with todays hits playing on the radio. She wondered why anyone would do that to a mother and her child. She knew that all she wanted was to know her mother. But her mother died at birth, it's what she was always told and what she believes. But she laughed to herself as she went over Dinah's information in her head.

Ha! All the information Dinah just gave out describes me. My mother died, as was the authorities told. She also said my birthday, eye color, and hair color!!! How crazy is that?! I hope she finds her daughter soon tho... Y/N thought to herself.

Y/N genuinely didn't believe she was Dinah's daughter. Like they said, there were a lot of kids matching the information they gave out. And she knew a lot of people had her birthday, and a lot of people had the same hair and eye color as hers. And what were the odds? Her an orphan since birth with no friends, no nothing, the child of a celebrity. But just because she thought/knew it wasn't true doesn't mean she didn't entertain herself with the idea that she could very well be THEE Dinah Jane's daughter...
