Y/n pov

"Liam why are we doing this?" I asked completely annoyed I was wasting my afternoon on traveling with Liam and mason to another school. "Because, I need to talk to... an old friend?" He said... well it came out as more of a question. "An old friend? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Why do we need to talk to him?" I asked bitterly. "Y/n can you please just shut up. It's about Tracy, that's all you need to know." Liam snapped. I put my hands up and stayed quiet the rest of the ride.

We soon had pulled into the parking lot of deavenford prep. Liam's old school. "Please tell me we aren't going to see who I think we are going to see" I groaned. Liam ignored me and started walking towards the lacrosse field. "...And he's a werewolf too?" I heard mason ask. I couldn't focus on the rest of their conversation because my mind was taken up on the boy who was obviously trying to impress someone. And it was working.

Yes I knew who Brett was. Yes I knew about his and Liam's...past. I knew they weren't the best of friends so my confusion rose as to why we were here.

I was knocked out of my trance when I heard Brett speak, "cute, but I haven't seen her" oh his voice. I wished he would put a shirt on so I could concentrate on his wonderful voice; But I wasn't complaining about his wonderful body either.

Before I knew it we were back in the car. I found myself wishing we could go back so I could watch Brett... I mean the lacrosse practice.... "ya know what, Liam I'm going to stay here. Ya know talk to Brett see if I can find anything else out that can help us." I said. "Ya sure, your staying behind to help us..." He said sarcastically.

As soon as I made it to the small set of metal bleachers i knew I had Brett's attention. He had a look of confusion yet satisfaction on his face. He smirked and continued practicing.

After a half an hour more, practice was finally done. I didn't even half to move to get to Brett. He had come to me. "Well, looks like someone doesn't hate me as much as she says she does." He said with a smirk. I blushed. "Okay, you got me there Talbot." I chuckled. "I'm guessing you don't have a ride home?" He questioned. "Um, ya. Liam and mason left." I said. "Alright, I'll play. You need a ride home sweetheart?Because you obviously let them leave because you wanted one from me." He smirked. It was my turn to blush again. I simply nodded my head and let him lead me to his car.

We were only about 5 minutes into the ride when I felt a hand in my thigh. I glanced at Brett while he just smirked at me. His hand started slowly rising. I grabbed his hand right before it went too high. "What are you doing?" I snapped at him. "Me? I'm not doing anything sweetheart. You have your games, I have mine." He said. "What's that supposed to mean?" I said defensively "well, your game was getting me to give you a ride. My game is getting some sort of reward out of this." His voice had some edge to it. "Well your not having sex with me if you think that's the reward." I stated plainly. "So there IS a reward?" He chuckled. "We'll see" I mumbled, knowing his wolf senses picked it up.

We had been silent for a little while when Brett abruptly pulled the car over. "What are you doing now?!" I said, a little annoyed if I'm being honest. "Well sweetheart, I'd like to get to know you a little bit. I mean I can't give a total stranger a ride home. Ya know, stranger danger. " He said sarcastically.  "I think you'll manage." I rolled my eyes. "Why so hostile?" He asked. I sighed. "I don't know. I'm sorry, I know you and Liam don't have the best relationship and I guess im taking it out on you. I'm sorry." I said sadly. I felt Brett's hand on my cheek as he turned my head. Our eyes connected and he smiled at me. He didn't smirk, he smiled and it was truly a wonderful sight. "It's ok y/n. Your best friends with him. I understand, but I want you to know that I'm not a bad guy. I'm not saying Liam is... our relationship is just... complicated. But you... you are extraordinary, and I'd really like to get to know you." He said. I think I was crying at this point. I couldn't believe it. I mean I know Liam hates him but this boy was nothing like the boy Liam described. This boy is sweet, funny, confident and definitely hot. I think it was safe to say I liked him, probably a little more than I should have. "Okay Brett, I'll play, you can ask me anything you want." I said with a smile. "Anything?" He asked with a small smile. "Yes, ask me something you've always wanted to know." I smiled. "Okay, what's your favorite color?" I laughed. "That's what you want to know?" I chuckled as I said this. He nodded his head. "Okay, green. What about you?"

After a lot of questions I could now say I knew more about Brett then I ever thought I would. And before I knew it we were at my house.

"Thanks for the ride, Brett." I said shyly. He smiled at me. "Any time sweetheart, I'd drive you anywhere." He responded. I got out of the car and he followed. We stopped as we reached my front door. "Brett?" I said with hope. "Yes sweetheart?" He smiled. I slowly connected our lips in a long kiss. As soon as we pulled apart he asked, "what was that for?" I chuckled. "That, Brett, was your reward"
