"Do you think he'll remember us, Namira?" My husband questioned from behind me, his thick accent lacing every word in a beautiful tone though the subject so grim.
"I do hope not." I replied, my accent equally as thick.
"Is this truly needed for our existence to continue?" I felt a lump in my throat and my nose begin to burn as I started crying again. I didn't want to let go of my child, but I already knew the answer to my own question.
I felt Jiro's strong arms wrap around my waist from behind me. I knew he didn't want to let go of him either, but it was needed.
I adjusted my child's mammoth fur blanket and held him closer to me, feeling he was the most precious thing I had ever been given the honor to touch. I hugged him tightly, his head peaking out over my shoulder.
Jiro kissed him on the crown of the head, starting to cry, and I did the same.
I kissed him once more and whispered my final words to him,
"I love you so so much, my son."
Jiro took him from me, hugged him tightly, and set him in the hay filled basket on the front steps of a small, sturdy looking farm house just outside of Solitude.
"We shall meet again, my son. I am sure of it." Jiro said while setting him down.
Jiro held me as we walked, tears like waterfalls down our faces.
I wanted to look back, I knew it would only cause more pain, but I had to say it, or at least think it, one last time.'I love you, Apollo, my son.'
