I got a flight back home immediately.

I couldn't stop crying in the plane.

After me desperately wanting to get to Indiana, we finally landed as I rushed out, pushing people away.

I got an uber and rushed to the hospital.

I ran inside as I looked around to see where I was going.

"Maria Gilinsky" I say as I played with my hair feeling anxious.

As she flips through papers, she  continuously looked up at me.

"Sorry miss .. we can't bring anybody el -"

"I NEED TO BE THERE SHE'S MY MOTHER"

She widened her eyes and looked frightened. "Room 306"

I ran as quick as I could.

I got to room 306 and heard a sob that sounded like Jack's.

I peeked in to see Jack with his head down, holding my mother's hand.

"Mom?! MOM?! NO NO NO NO ..  SHE CA .. SHE CAN'T BE DE -"

"It was too late" he says as he wipes his tears.

I kneeled down and begged for her to wake up but she couldn't.

" .. I .. I'm so sorry for betraying you. I shouldn't have left."

Jack looked at me and hugged me tightly as my tears continued to drip. "I should've kept her safe."

I look up at Jack and continued to cry as he wiped my tears that was endlessly dripping.

My heart was shattered into pieces.

I didn't get to save her and stood by her side when she needed someone.

I should've told her everything when I got the chance ..

Me: what's up guys! Where's Nat? I have to talk to her

They all looked at each other and started to cry. I was confused.

Andrea: Na .. Natalie's mother died.

Me: what?! Are you serious? how did she die?

Brent: she had "sudden death syndrome"

Me: what does that mean?

Ethan: well, she died in her sleep. It usually happens due to a heart condition.

Me: but Sh .. she was strong. She was healthy.

Brent: yeah she was pretty cool too.

Me: yeah I loved Natalie's mother ...

Andrea: I loved her too. I'm just surprised how this is just so sudden. I mean I know its Sudden Death Syndrome but somehow she got it when Natalie's in LA?

Brent: maybe it's just coincidental.

Andrea: If Natalie's mother got a heart condition, wouldn't she tell Jack and Natalie?

Ethan: no ... most parents don't tell their kids since they don't want their kids to worry.

Andrea: hmm okay

I called Natalie to hear if she's alright.

I wanted to hug her so bad but she was all the way in Indiana.

I can't believe this happened to her. Losing a parent hurts a lot. I know how it feels to lose someone you love and also seeing Natalie miserable makes me feel like crying.

If only I was there with her.
