She knew he had been hurt, She'd be his soft place to fall. She knew it was a risk, Yet she still gave it her all. What she didn't know was he was just passing through. His wounded heart wounded hers, and he was gone before she knew.
" Believe me , I was just... hopeless.. helpless.. I wasn't me anymore. " Ashton said, avoiding eyecontact .
" But Who are you exactly ? " I asked while trying my best not to cry.
" I don't know.. " He looked so down but I have to be firm. I held his hand and looked straight into his brown eyes . Those eyes. It used to be my favorite. It screams loneliness that makes me want to erase it.
" You know why ? " i said almost a whisper. "It's because she made you. She made who you are. There's no such thing as you Ash and you let her. " then the tears I tried hard to hold escaped through my eyes.
He was confused at first. He was Hurt. But then realization hit him . He doesn't know who he was . Just that He was hers, nothing else .
" Ganito nalang ba ang role ko sa buhay mo ? " Tanong ko habang pinupunasan ang mga luha ko. " Taga sabi sayo na 'hey, tama na ' ' Ash, wala na diba ? ' 'Wag ka nang magpakatanga.' 'Gising na'. " My tears just won't stop and my heart , it just freaking hurts.
" Will I always be that someone in your life ? Someone who's perfect to be a back-up plan for the love that didn't work ? " I almost found it hard to breath . I was holding this for too long , I tried my best to keep it in my heart but I guess , it got tired.
"Sorry but I can't be your second choice forever. "
