Chapter 11

Chapter 11 | Worlds Collide

Step...step...

The girl's footsteps echoed through the enormous laboratory, the only sound that was heard. She supported her lady's wishes and followed her, trailing behind her like a lost Rockruff. It was purpose of her life.

"W-What causes the p-portal to open?" [Name] asked, fiddling with her thumbs nervously as she kept looking at the ground. Lusamine suddenly stopped, admiring her own private lab as she began to laugh menacingly. "With the power of Cosmog, the portal will open," she answered, thinking about her plans in the Ultra Space.

The president's heels clicked on the floor as she trotted towards the computer screens. Typing on the keyboard, a small blue cage suddenly appeared out of nowhere, making an impact on the ground as it wiggled around furiously. It seemed like a Pokémon was located inside it, trying to get out.

"...Is this C-Cosmog?" [Name] hesitantly questioned, pointing at the little cage to Lusamine's right. The cage jumped at the mention of its name, making a very loud metallic noise. "Yes, you're very smart, [Name]."

"Um...T-Thank-"

Bzzz...!

A sudden electric noise was heard with some footsteps following after. Someone let out a gasp, startling [Name] slightly as she calmly regained her composure.

"Wh-What is this place..?" A voice which belonged to Lillie asked, looking around her mother's secret lair. Intimidated by the large pure white room, Lillie turned, only to see a strange capsules containing lifeless looking Pokémon and three big screens, where her mother stood, furiously typing on the keyboard.

Lusamine turned around, already awaiting her guests, as if she let them in on purpose. She then suddenly looked at [Name], waving her hand to get her to stand next to her. The girl slowly walked over to her, leaning her ear to her hand as she whispered some words.

"Get into the machine over there," the president told her, smiling softly as [Name] did as she was told. A capsule appeared, its design stood out among the many ice capsules. [Name] gulped, scared by the many wires attached to it, as she remembered her time in her own capsule. It beeped as soon as she approached it, a small screen appearing in front of her saying 'L..e...M..or.es?'. The glitching and bugging of the screen caused [Name] to not be able to clearly decipher the words, but she shrugged it off and stepped in.

Lusamine's attention was on Lillie and Sun again as she smirked viciously. "Hurry. This way."

Sun walked towards her, a brave look on his face as he clenched his fists. Even though they didn't spend much time together, [Name] was a kind girl. When she suddenly disappeared, he still often met her on her own adventures, seeking new Pokémon for her team. The thought of her being used as an experiment pained him, but he chose to ignore it for now, after all, the world was in serious danger.

Lillie followed after the Pokémon Trainer, taking small steps as she took a glance at her mother. She was so different back then, but the need of knowing Ultra Beasts more soon consumed her, turning her into a loveless monster. Her beautiful smile and her sparkling green eyes became an evil smirk and dull eyes.

Overall, even if her mother was the most evil woman in this world, deep in her heart she would still love her, after everything she did for her in the past.

"What do you think? It's my private collection. My precious babies... They will all be preserved for eternity here," Lusamine asked, approaching the duo.

Having no clue what she was talking about, Lillie and Sun looked around and noticed the many capsules full of ice laying around the lab. They contained several Pokémon like Pikachu, Slowbro and so on.

The blonde teenager shook her head in disbelief, gripping her bag even tighter as she listened to Lusamine.

"But my poor beast... What confusion, what rage must it feel, arriving in this strange world? It would not be right to confine its feelings in such a small case as these ones... It will need to express itself," she explained, her smirk rising more at the thought of her plan. "I think I will let it express all its fury upon the Alola region as it will!" Lusamine laughed menacingly.

Bzzz...!

It seemed like the teleporter was used again. A certain green haired boy stepped out, awing at the sight of the size of the laboratory.

"Whoa! Sun!" Hau grinned and waved. "Whoa-ho! And Lillie!" He seemed pretty excited to see them again, considering the world was in danger now. Following shortly after him was Gladion, who seemed to take the situation more serious than any of the Melemele trio.

"Man, I'm glad to see you're OK!" The pineapple boy jumped, expressing his happiness freely.

"Ah. Sweet Hau. So you came, too?" Lusamine smirked, but it soon faded as she saw Gladion. "Hmph. And Gladion. Must you be so untidy?"

The red sneakers stepped forward, Gladion looked very stressed and annoyed at the same time. Putting his hands on his hips, he closed his eyes for a brief moment. Deep in thought, he lifted his eyelids and looked at his mother.

"Will you listen to me at least?"
