After they cried every last tear they had, they pulled themselves together and off of the floor. They went back to their old rooms and into theirs beds. Once there they each fell asleep quickly.

In the morning, they showered and met in the kitchen once again. They ate breakfast in silence. Neither one wanting to ask the other any questions just yet. They wandered around the house memorizing every detail for when they left. Bryant collected a few pictures here and there and important documents. Then he moved on to packing essentials for their trip. Bethany went straight to their parents' room and grabbed a few of their mothers shirts and pieces of jewelry. Then she went to her own room and packed some of her own things. Both careful to only pack what they could carry. They would have to leave behind Bethany's car for fear that they could track her in it. She couldn't chance that. Not after everything Bryant had gone through...

"Okay, now what's next?" asked Beth.

"Now we run Sis. I don't have a clue as to where. I'm not even sure if we can escape them at all. The only thing I'm sure of, is we're not going down without a fight. And I'll fight to the death for you Bethy."

"Well, we could go north right? We have no connections to anyone north of here... Makes sense, right?"

"We can't travel in direct or predictable patterns. They have others like us. And all they have to do is get the same image more than once about what we're planning, and they will be there before we are. But if we are unpredictable, even to ourselves, then we'll have a chance. Pick a random place to go every day and once we find a good, safe place to be, we hunker down and keep to ourselves. We'll have to use different names, and pretend to be other people. No one can know that we are siblings, or family at all. It'll be easier since we don't look alike. And if we can help it, we don't go in any place together or at least at the same time. It's going to be hard Beth. Are you sure you're up for this?"

"Absolutely. For mom and dad. We have to," she said looking down at the floor. She'd been fighting back her tears all morning. "So, let's go."

"I'm sorry Bethy."

"For what? Telling me the truth? Protecting us? There's no need to be sorry."

"No... I'm sorry that we can't go to mom's funeral..."

Oh, she thought to herself. I hadn't even considered that I wanted to go. I mean, how could I? They would expect that.

"It's fine Bryant. I understand and I'm not upset. She wouldn't want us moping around her dead body feeling sorry for her or ourselves anyway. She would have wanted us to stay protected. You know that."

"I know. It's just that, I didn't get to say goodbye to either of them..."

"I'm sorry Bryant-"

"Shhhh!" He concentrated hard on the images broken in his mind, but he couldn't grasp any of them. "Bethany, just this one time, please, help me concentrate. Help me to see what's coming. Please."

"...Okay."

And they sat there, in silence, both deep in thought trying to piece together this puzzle. But this was more difficult for some reason. Like the images didn't want to fit together. Like someone couldn't make up their mind on which way they wanted to go...

Both of their eyes snapped open at the same time as realization hit them both.

"They're already coming!" they said in unison.

"How did they figure out about the indecisiveness?!," asked Bryant angrily.

"I don't know but I'm scared and I don't want to be here to find out. What do we do?"

"Don't think. Just run."

And with that they both picked up their bags and sprinted from the house, no bothering to lock up. It didn't matter anymore. It's not like they were ever coming back anyway.

They took off through the woods with no destination in mind, the setting sun to their backs.
