The little girl sat calmly in the middle of the meadow. Her light brown fingers lightly touched the white rabbit in front of her. The rabbits fur was nice ,soft and whiter then snow. The rabbit hopped onto the girls lap, nuzzling softly into her red dress.
Rose smiled down at the rabbit. She picks up some grass and waves it in front of the rabbits face. The rabbit, gracefully, took the grass and munched on the meal. Rose gently picked up the rabbit and put him down on the grass. She looked at the rabbit in pure fascination. When finished with his meal, the rabbit hopped away. Rose watched the rabbit disappear into the tall trees and bushs at the edge of the meadow. She smiled and walked towards her back porch. Rose opened the back door and stepped into her family's living room. She saw her mother on the couch, sound asleep. Rose slowly closed the door. She didn't want to wake her mother. Between working at the bakery and her father plus paying bills and putting food on the table, Rose knew her mother worked hard to make the family happy. She deserved rest.
Rose walked into the kitchen to see her father making a cake. Rose pulled up a chair next to her father and sat down. "Dad?"
"Yes my flower?" " Why are you making a cake" "Your mother and I had a little... Disagreement and to apologize for the things I said I'm making a cake" Rose looks to her left. She notice something she didn't when she first walked in. Broken glass and cups shattered every where. 'Kinda like mama' Rose thought.Rose hopped down from the seat. She walkef towards the storage closet in the kitchen, opened it and pulled out a broom and dust pan. Rose closed the storage door and walked towards the scattered maze of glass. She began sweeping, making sure to be careful of the shards. Rose imaged the broom as her dance partner, hold her as her skillful feet took her to a place where everyone could be happy. She took a fews step back, them twirled forward, sweeping in the process. Rose could see herself in a castle, servant's cheering their queen on. Candle light lit her path, living their short lives. As, Rose finished sweeping her lovely dance ended, the candle breaths their final breath, the servants dismembered back to their non exist chores. Even the broom took his final bow and Rose once again was left alone.
With a sigh, Rose dumped the glass into the waste bin. She put the broom back in its threshold and walked back into the kitchen. Rose found her father in a man hunt looking for something. He opened the fridge and pulled out whipped cream, looked at it, shook his head and put the item back. After a few minutes, he closed the fridge in defeat. He looked up to see Rose. "Hey rose I have a question" "Is it about the cake?" "Yeah its more abou-" "Buttercream" Rose's father tilted his head at his dark hair daughter. "How did you know I was asking about Serenes favorite frosting?" Rose walked over to the fridge, opened it, pulled out a juice box and took a drink. After She quenched her thirst, Rose looked at her father. "Well mom runs a bakery and keeps extra frosting in the cabinet next to the sink. When Auntie had her birthday, mom had me help with the cake and was walking me through the steps. Mom told me about which frosting goes with which cake. Since you made mom a red velvet cake , which is her favorite cake, I knew you'll be looking for her favorite frosting which is buttercream since it goes well with the contrast of light and dark colors." Rose stepped onto the chair to get a better look at the cake. " Just spread it equally but not too much. Mom will just scrape the frosting off if it's too much . Maybe add chocolate chips and what ever you do Dont Add Sprinkles. She hates them."
Austin smiled down at his daughter. Rose was 7 and smarter then he'll ever be. She had his black hair and stubbornness. Her brown kissed skin came from Serene along with her wisdom. "Show off" Rose giggled "Sometimes it better to show off and help then be quiet and suffer" With a step Rose and her juice box traveled upstairs to journeys unknown to Austin. Austin turned his attention back to the cake. He grabbed the frosting from the cabinet and opened the fridge to grab the chocolate chips. Austin opened the container and dipped a spoon into the frosting. He scooped up a dollop then spread it evenly on to the cake. He scooped up more and applied it to the sides. Once he was done, Austin sat aside the frosting and spoon. He ripped open the chocolate chips and placed them on the outer rim of the cake. He then used the chips to spell Serenes name inside of a heart.
Austin sighed. He hoped this worked. He did feel sorry. He knew it was Serene's birthday yet he wanted to go with.......Her. Jane. Jane was everything he could ever want and more. She's perfect.
Austin shook his head. No...Serene cared about him so much. 'She loves me' Austin thought 'She sacrificed so much for me yet.... I can't love her. I'm so so sorry'
Austin sobbed. No matter what he did he always ended up failing. 'I should have died....killed myself when I had the chance, so Serene wouldn't suffer. I should have never met her so she could be with someone better. Someone who could love her, some one who-'
Austin felt a arm around his waist. He turned around to see those two brown voids more calm and collected. Serene touched his face and used her thumb to gently brush off his tears. He pulled her close. "Thank you" he whisper. Serene smiled and placed a kiss on Austins cheek. Austin cupped her chin and brought her lips to his. The taste of sugar, strawberries and honey filled his mouth causing him to moan. He gripped Serenes side harder, deepening the kiss. Serene moaned softly. Austin growled then broke the kiss. He bring his mouth to her ear and whispered "I wonder if your insides taste as good as your mouth" Serene shivered. Austin began kissed Serene's neck, marking her in the process. A waterfall of moans fell out of Serenes mouth.
Serene did want this to end. This feel he gave was just.....to good.
This was the only time she felt like Austin loved her. The burn sensation he gave her was everything. Austins fingers traveled slowly towards the waist line of her jeans. His tongue licked on her collar bone. Serene start to get inpatient. She pushed Austin against the kitchen counter. Serene slipped her head under Austins shirt, licking and nipping at his skin. She could hear his breath getting heavier.
"Did you like the cake mom?" Serene slipped away from Austin. In a quick moment she grabbed a fork and starting eating part of the cake. Serene turned around and faced her daughter. " Its absolutely lovely. How about you come get a slice.?" "Yay!" Rose rushed down the stairs. Austin looked at Rose. "Not in your dress. How about my princess gets changed into her sleep wear" Rose pouted "OK! Don't cut the cake without me!" "We won't!" Rose rushed up the stairs to get dressed. Serene turned towards Austin. "Thank you" Austin kissed Serenes forehead. "Your welcome my queen."
