You don't seem to remember what happened yesterday. Looking around, you noticed a pair of arms that were wrapped around you, you saw him. Robbie of all people, you moved a little, but he held you close.
"Robbie.." trying to wake him up. He did and when he saw you, he moved away. Getting off the bed, he felt embarrassed.
"Sorry, you..well.."
"This is your bed, isnt it?"
"Well yes and no..it's complicated, but besides the fact. You weren't sleeping well, you were having nightmares, _________." you would have known, but it was nice that someone was there for you.
"It's been hard, yet everyone just so calm about it. I don't know how you'll dealt with it."
"Time." he spoke, you nodded. "The children must be eating without us, you're welcome to join." you nodded once more, getting off the bed you followed him to the kitchen. Indeed the girls were all happy together, Robbie could only smile, staring at the two of them. They didn't seem to notice you guys, but maybe it was a good thing. You whispered over to him,
"We should leave them be, I don't mind eating right away." Robbie only stared at them,
"Seeing her being social, just warms my heart."
"In a new town, meeting Ella really made Stephanie happy. For once I'm happy." Robbie looked over at you, taking your hand, he lead you the other direction. "Where are we going?"
"Just somewhere more private for us adults." this made you nervous, but you trusted Robbie enough. He opened the door, leading you to a room, full of color.
"What is this place?"
"A creative room, it's where I sometimes get my ideas." looking around, you saw the different outfits that were line up, you notice some dresses that you really seem to like. Walking over to them, you touch the fabric.
"Theses were hers, weren't they?" Robbie only nodded.
"You can try it on, if you want."
"You sure?" Robbie nodded once again as he crossed his arms over his chest.
"She would want them to be worn, she was always the kind hearted woman, never selfish, finding the beauty in everything." she must of been some woman, you wish you would have met her, you both would of gotten along well. Taking the dress off the rack, it was a long purple sparkling dress, having a few details of crystals along the hem. Almost like a summer dress as it covered the shoulders. You noticed the changing wall, you got back there as Robbie looked the other way. You kept looking back at him, while getting changed. Thoughts rolled into your head, the color purple why did it remind you of something, was it someone..breaking your thoughts as it was on. You walked out, as Robbie turned himself around, his hand went to his lips, pressing them there, he saw you more beautiful than he could remember.
"A perfect fit." you kept looking at him.
"You really think so?" he moved up close to you, taking your hands, he asked.
"Can I dance with you?"
"Why?"
"This dress was made for dancing during the summer festival, I wanna see if it still has it." you gladly nodded, he took his hand down to your waist, pulling you a bit closer, you reached your hands to his shoulder, placing them there, his feet began to move. Following him in his footsteps, he was amazed by this, "You can dance?"
"Where do you think Stephanie got it from?"
"I..I assume her father.." how could he forget, you and Robbie dance all the time when they were younger, yet he knew you wouldn't remember.
"She may have the color, but she's got my passion and I am very proud of her." you didn't know what you were feeling with this man, but you felt like you've known him all your life, yet it was only a few days ago that you were introduce to. Well technically Stephanie found him, but besides the point, the closer your bodies touch, he spun you around, letting the fabric take its course, bringing you back to him, his face was close to yours. There it was again, "Robbie-"
"___________..." you both stopped moving, his face leaned in a bit closer, you didn't move, it was like you wanted it for either the right reason or the wrong. He barely touch your lips, until a sound was heard,
"Father..." Robbie looked over, his daughter was standing there with a broken teacup that was on the floor, the hot liquid staining the floor below. "That's..Mother..." she felt her tears slip out. Robbie began to freak out,
"Ella-"
"THATS MOTHERS!" she yelled, this was a new one for him. You walked away from him, kneeling down to her level. You pulled her close, Ella was trying her best to push you off, you didn't let go. "It's not yours..leave it alone..please!...its mother's...she.." she ended up stopped fighting and cling onto your chest, letting her cry against you. Rubbing her back, calming her down as you began to hum. Ella kept going, Robbie only watched how well you handle it.
"I'm sorry for wearing it, your father-"
"It's still mothers..." she looked at you, you wipe those tears away from her face, all puffy eye, you really felt bad about it.
"I'll put it back.."
"No.." now you were confused even more. Robbie walked up to you, you picked her up as Robbie took her from you. She leaned her head against his chest, he began to speak,
"Doesnt she look beautiful, Ella?" where was he going with this. Ella nodded.
"She..reminds me.."
"Your mother, yes I can see it. Your mother would've wanted for someone to wear it." Ella remembered, this caused you to blush a little.
"I'm sorry.."
"It's alright, Ella." you spoke, Robbie gave her a kiss on the head, before setting her down on the floor.
"Why don't you play with Stephanie?"
"I want to go out.."
"The park?" he asked. She nodded.
"Get ready and we will go, you don't mind do you ____________."
"I got nothing better to do. Sportacus is doing his own thing and he suggested I be out, than sulk inside all day."
"That's him alright." With that Ella ran off, Robbie only looked at you, you stopped before he fiddle with his fingers. "Thank you.."
"I can tell she never did that before. You panic." he nodded.
"Ellas the kind of person that wants things to be left alone, especially if it's her mother."
"How old is Ella? If you don't mind me asking?"
"She's only 7, yet she thinks she should feel this way and make decisions of her choice." You took his hand, he looked at you once more.
"Every child is differnet, girls are more my thing."
"She needs a mother...a father wouldn't know what to do." he kind of felt useless to be honest, you shook your head at him.
"I agree, but a father does come first. Guess we will be doing this together." Robbie sort of smiled at you.
"I guess we do."
