I stand in my bedroom, looking at the bare room. My sister and I are moving to live with our dad in Forks, Washington. I've always loved it there. The rain calmed me down, while where we used to live, Phoenix, Arizona, was always hot and put me on edge. Bella, my older sister, claims to love the heat, but her pale skin would say otherwise.
Our stepdad, Phil, plays for some minor league baseball team and has to travel a lot for games. Mom would stay with Bella and I, but we could tell she missed Phil and wanted to be near him, so we decided to move in with our dad. Bella came up with the idea, which was surprising considering she hasn't seen him in at least 3 years.
My mom calls me down, reminding me that our flight leaves soon. Her and Phil take us to the airport. We arrive at our gate, passengers already loading up. Mom turns to us, pulling us into a hug as her shoulders shake with sobs.
"If you don't like it you can always come home." She tells us, wiping away her tears. I nod, but I know I won't be coming back, it's Bella that's more likely to. Bella and I hand the flight attendant our tickets, waving goodbye to mom and Phil before boarding the plane.

The plane ride was very uneventful. Although, flying was something I've always found quite boring. Bella and I get our bags and then head out to the front.
"I hope he didn't bring his cruiser." Bella says, surveying the surrounding area of Port Angeles. Someone yelling our names cause us to turn around. Spotting the person, I let out s laugh, much to Bella's dismay. About 30 feet away from us is our dad, standing next to his police car. I run over to him, jumping into his arms.
"Lucy, I'm so glad to see you." He says once he sets me down. I smile, letting him know I feel the same way.
"Hey Charlie." Bella awkwardly says as she approaches us. They quickly side hug, then go back to standing. They'd never agree, but they are more similar than they think. Dad grabs our bags and puts them in the trunk of his car. We all get in, beginning the drive to Forks.

The house comes into my view and I smile, already loving being here. I hop out of the car as soon as we stop, and head inside. I run to my bedroom, looking over to make sure all my stuff is still here. I hear Dad tell Bella something about the bathroom, which causes her to mutter something, probably dealing with the fact that there are three of us and only one bathroom. There's a knock at the door. Knowing who it is, I run down the stairs, flinging the door open.
"Jake!" I squeal, running into his arms. He laughs, wrapping his arms around me. I let go and lean down to give Billy a hug as well.
"That was fast." Dad says as he and Bella join us. "Bella, you remember Billy and Jake right?"
"Yeah." She replies.
"Just bought this truck off him. It's yours, as a 'welcome home' present." Bella gaps, walking over to the orange pick up truck. She admires her new car, inspecting every piece of it.
"Rebuilt the engine myself." Jacob says, stepping towards her. I smirk, knowing he still has a crush on her.
Billy and Jake eventually leave. I go back to my room, figuring I should get ready for the first day of school tomorrow.
