I lay in bed, trying to sleep. Ever since I last saw Embry three days ago, something's changed. There's this dull ache in my chest, never goes away. I refuse to speak to Bella, throwing my pillows at her every time she comes into my room. Charlie keeps away, knowing I'm mad at him as well.

I roll around, trying to find a comfortable position. I finally fall asleep, but it doesn't last long. The dull ache in my chest increases into a burning pain. My whole body feels like it's on fire, also like I'm repeatedly being stabbed everywhere. I cry out, clutching my chest. Tears slide off my cheeks. I faintly hear footsteps pounding down the hall. My door flies open, someone's calling my name, but I can't register who.

I continue screaming, the pain intensifying with every passing second. Someone sits on my bed, trying to calm me down. I turn to the voice, barley  making out Charlie and Bella's faces. Their mouths move, but no sound comes to my ears. Another wave of pain courses through me, my back arching. My throat begins to feel raw from my screaming.

Bella grabs her phone, quickly dialing a munger. Her mouth moves frantically. In a couple of minutes, Edward is standing beside her, a young man with him. The man talks to Charlie, convincing him to leave. Hearing comes back to my ears, and I sigh, but the pain continues.

"Lucille, can you hear me?" The man asks. All I can do is nod. "My name is Carlisle, I am a doctor." He goes to continue, but another of my screams interrupts him. He moves to stand beside me. "Lucille, can you tell me where it hurts?"

"Everywhere." I manage to croak out. Carlisle nods and then talks to Edward. Edward clearly doesn't like what he said, because his face turns into disgust.

"No. Carlisle, we can't let them near her." Edward motions to me.

"We can't decide that. She's been imprinted on, we need to get him over here or she will eventually die from the pain." I cry when Carlisle mentions I could die. Bella rushes to my side, grabbing my hand.

"I'm so sorry." She sobs. "I shouldn't have kept you guys away. This is all my fault." I don't understand, how could this be her fault? My vision begins to sway, the world around me becoming blurry. I cry out one last time. Then, darkness is all I see.

A hand runs through my hair, brushing the stray pieces away from my forehead. I shiver as a cold breeze passes through, snuggling into the warm arms holding me. My eyes flutter open, a smile forming on my face when I see who's holding me. He smiles back.

"What're you doing here?" I mumble. "I thought Charlie wouldn't let you come."

"After what happened last night Bella convinced him that she was wrong." He replies.

"So I can go back to La Push?" He nods his head. It's only then that I notice the pain is all gone. "Embry, what happened to me?" He sighs, sitting us up.

"It's the imprint bond. Before Bella made you leave Sam tried explaining to her. After a wolf imprints, they can't be away from that person for more than a couple days. If they are, they both feel the imprint bond trying to pull them together, which is what caused you to be in pain. I felt it too, but it's not nearly as painful for us as it is for imprintees." Embry turns his head away from me. "I'm sorry, this is all my fault."

"No, no it's not. I don't care that the imprint bond caused me pain. I care about you." He looks at me, leaning closer to peck my lips.
