Chapter 9: Babe 「Chie」

"Good afternoon babe." I typed to her and awaited her response.

"Hey I missed you." She replied.

Somehow I felt so close to her already, and we weren't even public with our relationship. She would always be there to talk to me at night. I would tell her about my problems. Everything seemed so well. I was happy.

"So who is he?" My best friend would ask me grinning.

"Oh no one haha." I kept it to myself.

Though I am happy, I can't let people know I am dating a girl or my family will know, and who knows what will happen then. I hurried home once again and caught her online. We talked.

"Sorry Hun I am doing math homework so I'll be slow." She typed.

"It's okay I have to help my mom make dinner." I said and made my way to the kitchen to help my mom.

Me and my mother didn't speak much. Only very little here and there. I wish I had a normal family. I talked with my younger brother often, and I did speak of my relationship to him. He didn't mind so I was at ease.

I studied hard for my geography test while asking Yumi to help me on some questions for the study guide. She joked a lot with me saying how I looked dorky with glasses. It was the first time we were seeing one another on Skype. She clipped her bangs up looking like a mad scientist. I giggled inside. We had many online test, and we would help one another on it. It was kind of a study date for us. I had fun.

"Hey let's play games." Yumi spurred out one late evening.

"How?" I said clueless.

"Well there is this site haha." She seemed happy.

I agreed and we ending up playing many games on this site. We made many silly bets. I had so much laughter in our silly bets and dorky moments. Was this a dream? Was I actually happy with a girl? It's still so new to me.

Soon it was close to Christmas. Yumi had to go away during that time. I was sad. I wanted to spend Christmas talking and playing games together, but she had plans. I decided to be a good girlfriend and waited patiently for her to come back. I would record her videos of me telling her how much I missed her. She hardly replied to my text, but that was expected. She was on vacation and I understood. Soon we will be on vacation together. I smiled at my own thoughts.
