"Thomas Sangster, you are coming. I don't understand why you're so against this right now." Harry said, his eyes still glued to the video game.

"I never said I was against it." I argued, trying to steal the ball from one of Harry's players.

"Well then why don't you wanna go?"

"I just don't wanna go. Ok?"

Harry sighed and sounded as though he was giving up. We continued to play the game, until I heard my phone ring. I paused the game and picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey Tom, it's y/n. Remember me?" A grin instantly spread across my face at the sound of her voice. Harry nudged me and asks who it is, but I ignored him and kept talking.

"Uh, yeah, hi y/n. It's Tom." I squeeze my eyes shut and cringe and my stupidness.

'She already knows, idiot!' I thought.

"Really? I didn't know." She giggled. I let out a nervous chuckle and cleared my throat.

"So, uh y/n, what are you calling me for?"

"Well, I wanted to make sure this was your number, and just to see if you are still coming to the party."

"Uh yeah this is my number, as you've probably guessed already. And I-," I glanced at Harry and see he's already listening in, "I'm still coming tonight. Why's that?"

"Oh, just cause I forgot to tell you that you need to bring ten dollars to get in. It's just to help with costs and stuff."

"Yeah that's fine. I can do that."

"Oh, thank you so much. Can you possibly tell your friends? I purposely lost Miles' number, and I don't have the other's."

"Yeah yeah, I can tell them." I chuckled.

"Thank you so much Tom! I'll have to make it up to you somehow." She said with a sigh of relief.

"No it's fine honestly."

"Ok, well I'll see you soon. Bye!"

"Bye y/n." And with that, the call ended.

"So you're coming now. " Harry smirked. I rolled my eyes and and grinned.

"Sure. Why not?"

As soon as we arrived at Jake's house, I walked through it to the backyard. I observed my surroundings and I have to admit, whoever set this up did a pretty good job. In the far right corner of the massive yard, was a large firepit with chairs around it; on the patio was a few long tables with piles of food, and drinks; around the corner was a pool, and in the far right of that, was a hot tub. The rest was grass, and it wasn't the prickly, dry, annoying type, it was the lush green type that looked fake, but you could lie in it for hours without a care.

"Tom, Harry, Ryan, Miles! You made it!" We all turned to see Jake with arms open, welcoming us.

We all exchanged greetings, gave our $10 fee, then Jake led us to the firepit. We took a seat, but I was searching for y/n. Harry must've noticed, so he nudged me and told me to sit down before Miles noticed. I sighed and took a seat.

A few minutes later someone passed through the door and onto the patio with pizza.

"Finally! I was starving!" Jake said.

"You literally have a house full of food Jake, if anyone is starving, it's people that actually don't have food." Y/n said rolling her eyes.

"True. Now I feel bad, so I should eat extra in honour of those that don't have anything to eat."
