Not this time

School is lame

I forced open my eyes when i heard the sound of the clock that laid on my dresser, I Groaned a bit before slowly making my way out of the covers which laid in my untidy bed. " Morning already.... " I thought tiredly before i glanced at my clock, My eyes snapped open " I'm Late! " I shouted out loud to myself. I Quickly started changing into my uniform, I checked the clock again, 8:30 am flashed on the clock, my panic increased " The teacher is sure to kill me now! ". I stumbled out of my apartment where i lived by myself and started to run down the street " Excuse me! " I said as i dodged people left and right, I quickly turned the corner taking a shortcut through a narrow alley way. Before i reached the end of the alley someone jumped in front of me and i crashed into them, I rubbed the back of my head " Watch where you-, " I cut my sentence short when i saw who i bumped into, " Hotaru!, " I shouted at him kind of annoyed, " Akane!? I didn't see you there my bad, " he said. Hotaru had his casually spiky bleached blond hair and his Chocolate brown eyes were bright with amusement more than with worry, I sighed this wasn't the time or place to talk. " Help me up, " I said as he knelt down and took my hand, He pulled me up off the ground. Before he could say anything I started dragging him along with me as I ran, Hotaru was confused as he was suddenly dragged along, " Why are you dragging me? " He asked a bit worried that I lose my mind this time, I Looked back at him as i ran him through the streets of Maylin city with me " School, Final exams, " I said in a few quick words, it seemed to get through to him because his eyes widen a little and he started to pick up pace as we ran together. " How much time do we have? " he asked and quickly checked my watch " fifteen minutes, " I respond. " I hope The Rene Force doesn't find two fourteen year olds holding hands together and running through the streets strange, " I thought to myself, it seemed to look that Hotaru was thinking the same thing but with Him you never knew. Hotaru soon snapped me out of my thoughts " Look! " he said, I looked over seeing the tall school building a few steps away, me and Hotaru went faster soon running side by side, we turned the corner and passed through the large gates to our school, we ran through the courtyard the younger kids still outside exchanged strange glances at me and Hotaru but we ignored it seeing we had something better to do at the moment, we then passed through the doors of the school. Both us ran through the halls that were painted bright blue reminding me way too much of a child's play room. Passing through the hall seemed like a minefield as we went around and passed younger kids but we soon spotted the stairs and started our way up. I Glanced back at my watch " We aren't going to make it in time! " I said to him. Hotaru frowned but soon started to look angry " We aren't giving up yet, " he said, soon we got up the stairs and ran through our hall. I checked my watch, Three minutes left " Maybe we will make it, " I thought as I saw our classroom come into view, Hotaru grinned, we got to the door of the classroom and opened the door. The students looked up at us, The teacher glanced at us " And for a second I thought both of you were both going to be late, " He said checking the clipboard that he was holding, I frowned but before I could speak the teacher looked back up " Everyone silent and let us start the exams! " He said and the classroom went silent.
