The night was warm, stars twinkle slightly in the sky but below hidden in the center of the land. Where flat land and marshes made an island and fallen trees made perfect bridges lay figures on this said island. A serious air laid upon pelts as twinkling eyes looked up at the four cats that sat on a giant stone rock. "I, morningstar would like to begin this with what my patrol's had been finding." he stared a look shot the grassclan leader "my patrols have smelt grassclan cats on our territory." yowls rose up in an instant "we have done no such thing!" a dark grey tabby tom hissed as reedstar waved his tail for silence "None of my warriors have done anything." reedstar said eyes in a narrow glare but morningstar bristled "we have scented your warriors before!" he snapped tail flicking agitately "It seems rather ashamed you don't even know your own warriors actions."

Reedstar made no movement but from his rising fur and searing eyes he would not let this slide. "This is no place of peace." rabbitstar, leader of Branchclan said. Her brown ticked tail patted a bit harshly against the stone. But morningstar glance at her with a frown "I've also scented your patrols too close to our territory." he started as rabbitstar sent him a challenging look "are you indirectly threatening me?" rabbitstar questioned but morningstar said nothing. "Don't be a kit morningstar." the Sunclan leader birchstar said with an indifferent face. The white and brown tom flicked his ear as morningstar snarled "You say that now but I swear if-"

"The war will not repeat." rabbitstar snapped "We shall never have a war like that again." she finished voice much calmer but morningstar's shoulder did not ease but he sat back down. The cats in the gathering were tense, an orange spotted she-cat ears flattened as she scooted closer to a larger orange tom and he gently rested his tail on her shoulder.

"The sky!" a calico tabby yowled "an omen!" everyone looked up as the once white clouds seem darkened and covered the moon. Cats yowled, gasped, and whispered "it's all morningstar's fault!" A white tom with darker grey legs bad arching as a breezeclan cat spat at him "how dare you!"

"Enough!" birchstar yowled "get a hold of yourselves!", morningstar then stood up "this gathering is over."
