There was absolutely no getting out of the seven to two shift, Lieutenant Johnson would not budge at all. I got out of work, now I'm home with Marshall, Chloe, and Evan. It feels weird being home at two in the afternoon, like I need something to do.

"Yo, Jen" Marshall called out from the kitchen, and I got up from the couch walking over to him.

"Yea..?" I said.

"Why don't you get the kids, let's go outside to the pool. I'm kinda tired of being in my cave" He said, and I chuckled.

"Okay" I said, and I turned around, walking upstairs. I knocked on Evan's door before walking in, and he was laying on his bed staring at his phone.

"Hey.. cmon let's go to the pool, you've been inside all day" I said, and ruffled is hair

"Yeah, okay.. gimme one second" Evan said.

"What are you doing anyways" I asked.

"Playing Pokemon go, you'll be surprised on how many Pokemon's are just in my room. I don't even have to get up" He said, and I rolled my eyes.

"That game is meant for you to get up, and walk. Get fresh air. Exercise. Which you need to do" I laughed as tapped on his stomach before I walked out of his room.

I walked into Chloe's room since the door was already open, and sat on her bed with her. Just like Evan her eyes were glued to her phone screen. What are wrong with my kids? I don't even know where my phone is, someone could've stole it, and I wouldn't even know.

"What are you doing, Chlo?" I asked.

"Playing Pokemon go, there's a bunch in my room" Chloe said, and I sighed.

"Oh my god" I chuckled. "Put your bathing suit on we're going to the pool" I said before I walked out of the room.

I then walked into Marshall's bedroom, and changed into my bathing suit. I wore a black one piece bathing suit with the word 'dope' on the front, and since I did feel a little uncomfortable I slipped one of Marshall's shirts over my head since it fit me like a dress. Quickly I wrapped my hair up in a messy bun, and walked out of the room, then downstairs.

As soon as me foot touched the last step I heard a loud slash, I walked over to the sliding door that leads to outside, and saw Marshall in the pool with Evan. Chloe was sitting at the long beach chairs shielding herself from the water that was coming her way, and about to get some sun, I think I'm gonna that instead of getting in the water just yet.

"Oh hey Jen" Marshall said while climbing out of the pool. "Why don't you come give me a hug" Marshall said, and I sat down at the long beach chair next to Chloe.

"Uh uh" I said as I shook my head no, and held my hand up to him for him to stay back.

"Nah.. you should give me a hug" Marshall said before quickly hugging me, leaving me all wet and cold.

"You got me all wet!" I said, and immediately regretted my choice of words.

Marshall looked over at me, and winked before jumping back into the pool causing the water to splash back at Chloe, and I. I laid down on the beach chair after I slipped off Marshall's shirt, and surprisingly I didn't feel uncomfortable. Maybe it's because I'm only around Marshall, and my kids but still, I'm making improvement.

I don't know what happened, but I believe I fell asleep. I was woken up due to water being splashed all over my body, my body shot up, and I stared at Marshall who dunked himself underwater to make it seem like he didn't do it.

Quickly, I hopped off the beach chair, and waited for Marshall to come up for air, once he tried to, I pushed his head back under the water. Unexpectedly he grabbed my arm, and pulled me into the water. Not even. Slam dunking me into the water.

"Ahh!" I yelled once I fell in. I started to hear Chloe, and Evan burst out in laughter and I got embarrassed.

That's not how I wanted it to go.

"You yell like a girl" Marshall said, once I swam up. I rolled my eyes, and gave him the most dumbest look ever. We were on the deep side of the pool so my feet were no where near the floor, so I had to wrap my legs around Marshall's to stay afloat.

"What are you doing?" Marshall asked, and looked down at my legs that were wrapped around his.

"Imma drown if I let go" I said.

"Ma, you don't know how to swim?" Evan asked.

"Nope. My foster mom thought the way to teach me how to swim was to throw me into the lake, and I'll get the hang of it. I almost died!"

"Speaking of foster parents, and stuff. Are you ever gonna make things right with your foster parents, or talk to your real parents ma?" Chloe asked.

"I don't know.. I'm pretty happy without them" I said, and smiled at her.

Bubbles then walked outside, and came to the edge of the pool near Marshall. Marshall grabbed her, which made me slip away from him. He placed Bubbles in the pool, and she started swimming while I on the other hand was two seconds away from dying.

"See mom, if Bubbles can swim you can too" Evan said, and I chuckled.

"No I can't" I laughed.

"Well you gon learn today" Marshall said in the worst Kevin Hart impersonation.
