Revenge Of Some Sort

The next night, Peter, Molly, Drew and I hid in the hardly lit corridor with the water fountain in it. After a hard day with a knife getting stabbed through your ear, you need to get some water, and just calm down, ready for the next day of training. Tris walked down the corridor; even with her messy night hair she still looked beautiful. She headed for the water fountain, and out we sprang from our hiding place. She screamed, and it felt nice to hear her scream surprisingly. We threatened to stab her eye with a knife. Another soothing scream.

"Peter! Molly! Drew! And... and is that... Albert? Anyway get your filthy hands off me!"

"Shut up, or watch us take your eye out!" Molly laughed back.

"Don't be stupid Mol. She can't see her eye being taken out... It is her eye!" Peter retorted.

For a brief moment everybody, except Tris, laughed. Then out of the blue came a strong, male figure. Four. Four was here to rescue her.

In bed that night I felt guilty. I realise that I wanted to hear more of her "soothing" screams since I had the power to enjoy defeating the best. And guess what the next accident I hear is: an initiate named Edward allegedly was stabbed in the eye with a knife. Peter must have been behind that! I don't think he is the type of person I should hang out with. I need to apologize to Tris; maybe we can mend our friendship.

I approach Tris carefully- she can kill me for what I did to her.

"Hi, Tris." I mumble.

"What?" she says, annoyed by my presence.

"Um, about yesterday. I'm sorry. I was... just out of control, you know..." She looks at me unconvinced.

"NO! You are such an idiot for doing what you did yesterday, and you'll stay like an idiot for the rest of your life! I never want to see your AGAIN!".

She walks away. A part inside me dies. I'm a fool for the rest of my life. She never wants to see me again. Then the chasm comes into my mind.

The chasm is a big hole, extremely deep. Nobody knows what's at the bottom. Maybe there is no bottom...

I don't think about anything. I just jump into it. It's foolish, I know- I want everyone to know- however I'm doing this for Tris. I love her. She never wants to see me again, and I'll never be seen down here.

"TRIS!" I shout as I fall. Going down, down, down under, a thousand spikes rise upwards from the bottom of the cave. I managed to pin myself on these spikes, and this is where my death lay. "I LOVE YOU!" were my last words...
