Sorry in advance for how bad this chapter is lol. It's a bit longer though. :) Enjoy!
Joe's POV:
I'm surprised by the number of people that actually showed up. The gym is packed full of my classmates, all dressed up in revealing dresses or flattering suits or more commonly, button down shirts and dress pants.
I feel small and awkward as I wait for Mina on the far wall by the refreshments. I rock back and forth in anticipation and look around for her familiar brown hair and shining smile. A few people come over to say hi and politely chat for a minute or two before pulling their partner away to dance.
The loud music drowns out my thoughts and makes it hard to remember names and faces. I'm about to pull out my phone to text Mina, but I see him first. He's standing in the middle of the crowd a little too close to a senior. My nerves kick in and I begin to sweat, searching frantically for a place to hide. I watch as he laughs at something his "friend" said and moves even closer to him.
Jealousy burns in my chest just looking at him. I roll my eyes, mad at myself for even being remotely jealous of that asshole. I spot a corner filled with people and the perfect place to hide. I make a run for it.
Luckily, I don't think he sees me. I spot my friend Cole standing by himself, looking as handsome as ever and walk over to start a conversation and distract myself from Jason.
"Cole!" I shout over the music, waving. He smiles at me and moves closer.
"What's up? You want a drink?" he offers, picking up a glass of punch from the table behind him.
I hesitate before taking it from him. "Is it just straight punch?" I ask tentatively.
He winks and I take that as a no. Eh, maybe a little alcohol will help loosen my mood and ease my nerves. Cole starts talking about this girl who I don't know and I tune him out. Nodding occasional seems to convince him that I'm still listening.
"Dude, I was so drunk," he continues. I laugh a little and nod again. Cole seems to be drunk a lot. I remember we went to a high school party together in 8th grade and he managed to score us some vodka. We were both completely wasted and ended up making out I think. I remember having the worst hangover the next morning. Those were the days.
A girl stalks up to Cole from behind wearing a lacy black dress with silver stilettos. She looks older.
"Hey," the girl coos, leaning on Cole.
"Hey babe," he responds, looking her up and down. She swings an arm over his broad shoulders and I guess he takes that as an invitation to let his hand slip down her lower back awfully close to her ass. He whistles a little and she laughs, placing a hand protectively on his chest. He winks at me as she drags him away from the crowd. I chuckle. At least he'll have some fun tonight.
I turn away and take a sip of my drink as I look for any more of my friends hanging about. My eyes drift to the dance floor where Jason is now slow dancing with the guy, Jason's head resting on his shoulder.
Jealousy bubbles back up in my stomach and I have to remind myself that I'm here for Mina. Yet I can't seem to pull my gaze away. And when our eyes lock and Jason excuses himself from his date and makes his way over to me, I don't run away.
"I thought you weren't coming to the dance," I say sharply. He rolls his droopy eyes, obviously a little tipsy. He doesn't respond. "Who's your date?" I ask, trying my best not to sound too jealous.
"His name is Collin. He's on the wrestling team." He raises his eyebrows up and down and now it's my turn to roll my eyes.
"Hunk of meat," I say under my breath. Jason frowns.
"And you're any better? At least he's good at something." His words sting and I'm taken aback.
"Um excuse me? Says you. And besides, I'm good at plenty of things," I state proudly. Jason chuckles and my face goes from vampire white to bright red in seconds. "I didn't mean like that," I tell him, looking at my feet.
"No you're right, you don't suck at everything I guess." He smirks. "But then again, you seem to get more practice, considering you're with someone new every week." My face flushes a deeper shade.
"Shut up," I hiss, practically shooting daggers out of my eyes.
He laughs, reaching for my hand to pull me closer. I don't object although I know I should.
"I'm just joking around boo," he whispers in my ear. "Come on, this dance is lame and you know it. Let's get out of here."
I look around, desperately looking for an excuse to say no. I still don't see Mina anywhere or any of my friends.
"Fine. But we can't leave. I don't have a car and my sister is supposed to pick me up at 11." I can feel Jason's warm breath on my neck. He smiles and takes my hand, leading me towards the side exit of the gym that leads into the staircase. I chase him like a little schoolboy up the stairs, not letting go of his hand and giggling the entire time. We reach the top out of breath and slightly more sweaty, laughing.
He pulls me closer and closes the gap between up, his lips finding mine in the dimly lit corridor. I drape my arms over his shoulders and kiss him back passionately. I missed this so much. I forgot how amazing Jason can make me feel. He pulls away and jogs down the hallway, throwing a teasing smile over his shoulder and daring me to follow him.
I run after him down the empty halls, a smile plastered on my face. He's such a tease.
By the time I follow him into the bathroom, my heart is beating too fast and I'm drenched in sweat. Jason is waiting, sitting on the edge of the sink. I rip off my jacket and throw it over the side of one of the stalls. I then turn to Jason who has a suspicious smirk on his face.
"You should exercise more. You look hot when you're all sweaty and flustered." I smile and reach for his outstretched hand. He pulls me so I'm standing in between his legs, one hand on his leg and the other tangled in his hair. I tilt my head up slightly and kiss him without second thought. He moans slightly and pulls me closer.
We break apart long enough for him to hop off of the sink and me to get rid of my bow tie and unbutton the top of my shirt. Without hesitation, I push him against the wall roughly and hold his wrist above his head in a tight hold. He leans forward to kiss me and I close the last amount of space between us so our legs are intertwined and I can feel how hard he his against my leg.
I unbutton his shirt blindly, not wanting to break the kiss. It slides off onto the floor. Finally, I can touch him and run my hands up his chest and feel his back muscles ripple and contract under my touch. He grinds up against me, desperate for friction.
More and more moans escape him and I smile. Without warning, I pull away, hopping onto the sink for myself this time.
"Joe," he whines. Now it's my turn to smirk.
He curses under his breath. "You fucking tease."
I bite the corner of my lip, not even sorry in the slightest. He reaches for my hand, but I don't take it. "Let's not get too carried away here," I laugh. Jason is not amused.
I swing my legs back and forth and simply admire Jason. His pout slowly turns to a sly grin and he takes two steps towards me.
"Come on now, I've been such a good little boy..."
"Mm, have you?" I dare him to continue.
"But daddy, you promised that if I was a good boy I would get my reward," he pouts. He takes another step closer.
"I know baby you just have to be patient." I try to hide my growing smile. He knows that this is what gets me going.
"I don't want to be patient daddy. I want you now." He takes both of my hands and pulls himself between my legs, where I was before, and looks up at me with big brown eyes.
"Fine," I give in. "But daddy expects the favor to be returned." He nods enthusiastically.
I pull him into a stall, locking it behind me.
