I realized that Tyler wouldn't find his fixed instruments until Monday. But that's okay. It'll be a surprise.
I arrive at work, surprisingly, on time. I was only excited to see Tyler. Diane always leaves me alone in the store when i come to work. I think she goes shopping for nail polish because when i go into her office she always has 1 more color of nail polish each time. Diane is the strangest boss in the whole world, but she could be worse. I sit alone in the store listening to the music on the radio in the store. There's a ukulele in the background of a song and I immediately think of Tyler. I smile for probably the 400th time today.

"Why are you so happy? What are you smiling about?"

Tyler asks all giggly and happy. I didn't even realize he came into the store.

"Oh, Uh, Nothing. Just, like, I dunno."

I trail off again. I'm pretty sure he knows that when i trail off i'm thinking about him.

"Alright. There's a 2% chance that I was thinking about you,"

I confess. Tyler smiles a real, big, genuine smile. I've never seen him so happy.

"My mom needs me to buy milk again. I'll go get the right brand and you stay right here."

Tyler explains as he walks over to the milk and dairy section. While he's gone, I notice the song in the radio had a catchy rhythm. I grab two pencils next to me and start fake drumming to the beat on the counter.

"Josh! I didn't know you could play the drums!"

Tyler exclaims. I didn't even realize he was there again.

"I can't. I used to play when i was in middle school, but I was never very good,"

I explain to him. He went on such a long rant about how i was the best drummer he'd ever heard. I didn't even play the drums. It was two pencils on the counter in a filthy grocery store. But alright.

A few hours have past when I look up at the clock above our "Eat Healthy" poster. Wow. Tyler and I have been talking for that long. Well, it's not a school night, so i can talk for longer.

I'm amazed at the stories Tyler told about himself. He plays so many instruments, he can rap, he can sing, and he can do tap dancing. Wow. What a guy. I love him a lot.

I interrupt him by giving Tyler a kiss on the cheek. He stops talking and looks into my eyes. Oops. I just really wanted to kiss him. Well. I guess I ruined our relationship for the 1,000th time in the past 4 days.

"Sorry Tyler. I just really wanted to, uh, sorry. I didn't mean to-"

He kisses me back. On the lips. After five minutes, we're making out on the counter. Actually, we don't really make out, but we sort of just awkwardly have our lips touching and tyler's legs wrapped around my waist for the next few minutes. I'm startled when the sliding doors open and an old lady comes in. In fact, so surprised, i fall off my chair. Tyler laughs. At this point he's sitting on the counter and i'm sitting back on the stool. The old lady comes back after about 10 minutes with her groceries. After paying for them, she takes her purse out.

"You boys are disgusting. God would be so disappointed in you. All gays go to hell,"

She says angrily. I'm surprised. She seemed so sweet when she walked in the store. The next thing she does surprises me. She takes out her stiff red purse and actually hits Tyler in the face with it. Tyler falls to the ground.
