Ben struggled to squeeze out of Grandpa Max's arms. He felt tears fill his eyes. "Please..." Ben begged. "I think I can stop him, I know I can!"
Max looked down at Ben. "It's too late, Ben. He won."
Ben looked up at Max in shock. "He's given up..."
Ben stared at the screens, seeing the trampled town, his town. It was destroyed. So many plummers dead, so much loss. He'd be dead as well as soon as the cursed monster reached to core.
"This is all my fault."
Ben stared up at Max, seeing tears fall out of his eyes and then hugged him, feeling a shiver wave off of him.
Suddenly, Max grabbed him around the waist and ran towards the bottom of the Plummer Headquarters. "Grandpa, GRANDPA!!" Ben yelled as he felt his Grandfather hold down his arm with the omnitrix.
Rook was at the bottom of the Headquarters, and appeared to be waiting for them.
"WHAT ARE DOING??? GRANDPA! ROOK!" He felt his emotions well up and explode. Ben cried, then laughed, then started sobbing.
Rook looked at Ben, and sighed. "Thank you for being my partner, Ben. You really changed my life."
Ben's heart stopped. He reached out his hand towards Rook. "No..." He whispered softly. "Please, Grandpa stop!" He pressed his hands down as hard as he could on his grandpa's back.
Rook followed them to the edge of the facility where an odd pod-like structure was standing. The ground trembled and Max yelled back at Rook. "Hurry Rook! We don't have much time."
At that moment, Ben realized what was happening. He started squirming and then fell out of Max's hands. They were going to send him off of Earth! He was about to turn and run when he saw his Grandpa approach him with Rook.
Their eyes glistened. Ben felt a wave of grief. "Please Grandpa! I am begging you! Don't do this!"
Grandpa looked down at Ben, seeing how desperate he was. He put his hand on Ben's shoulder. "Ben, I'm so sorry. I am so proud of you."
Suddenly, Ben felt everything fade. The last thing he remembered was Max's strong arms scooping up his limp body, holding a stun tazor in his hand...
Sorry it is short, but I didn't want to reveal too much. This book takes place after the Ben 10 Omniverse series ends. Hope you guys like my first part! I can't wait until I get really started into this book!
