"Hi, I'm Violet Terriff." You smiled
"Nice to meet you Violet, I'm Sean, this is my roommate Lance." Sean said
They both looked familiar but you can't quite figure it out, Sean was tall and handsome, he had nice dark brown eyes, all of his features were sexy, you felt instantly attracted to him. At the same time you felt so guilty because you and James had been dating for so long and you loved him with everything you had, it's not that you were bored, James was very good looking as well but as soon as you met Sean there was something about him that made you have butterflies and feel like a young girl with a crush again.
"Nice to meet you both! Your house is wonderful." You complimented
They smiled at you and you took your shoes and coat off at the front door, Lance hung your coat up for you.
"So now it's time for the grand tour!" Lance laughed and Sean chuckled
You were lead around the house room to room, Lance was pretty much explaining everything, Sean was quiet, maybe he was shy... They were both nice guys though. You couldn't stop looking at Sean but whenever you looked he was already looking at you. Maybe he's feeling awkward that I keep looking at him, you thought, so you tried your best to keep the looks on the down low.

---Sean's POV---

As soon as I opened the door I was in love, not really because I didn't even know this girl but she was so beautiful, she wasn't tall or short but she was the perfect height. I'm 6'3 and she's about 5'6... her hair was a little messy and her eyes were so beautiful. She was effortlessly gorgeous.
I kept staring at her, I didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable so I always looked away when she would look at me but I couldn't get enough of her face. Or her body... she wasn't wearing anything revealing or promiscuous but I could only imagine what she has underneath those clothes.
I'm usually not this nervous around girls, they are always all over me anyways, but she isn't the same as girls I normally encounter, I don't even know if she knows who I am. It's nice to be treated like a normal guy once in a while.

---Violets POV---

So Violet, did you have any plans tonight that Sean and I ruined?" Lance joked
"Oh of course not, nothing special anyways. You can call me V if you're prefer it over Violet, pretty much everyone I know calls me V." You laughed
"Violet is such a gorgeous name, do you not like it?" Sean asked. He was so nervous he keeps swallowing and looking down at his feet when he talks to me. Personally I think it's cute but I feel bad.
"It's not that I don't like it, it's that other people think it sounds old." You joked, you managed to crack a smile out of him, he seemed a little bit more relaxed now.
The tour of the house was over and they were just giving you their numbers and the house key for Monday.
"Sean Monahan..." you said out loud, after you read his contact name. You said it again.
"Why does your name sound so familiar to me? I can't put my finger on it, and you look like I know you from somewhere..." you were confused
"Uhh, yeah... Lance and I play for the Calgary Flames, that's probably why." Sean smiled at you
You nodded your head and smiled "Wow my friends will never believe me when I tell them who's house I'm cleaning. Maybe I should keep this a secret." You laughed, the guys laughed with you.
"I'm just going to call my boyfriend to come pick me up, I'll just wait by the front door until he comes." You said blandly, you didn't want to go back and sit in your apartment, you didn't want to go out with his friends either, you wished for a more entertaining life lately. All James wants to do is go out with his friends or sit at home and watch Netflix. You were so bored of that. You wanted more in life, you wanted to experience things with James, you were in love with him, you have been for the past 5 years.
"Hey James are you on your way to pick me up? I'm done now." You said when you heard James say hello on the other end of the phone
"Uhh yeah I'll be on my way here shortly, I thought you were done at 10pm, it's 9:30." He slurred, he was drunk, you could tell. "James if you're drunk I don't want you to dri-" you were cut off by a woman's voice "James baby come back to bed we just started having some fun." Is what she said, she sounded like your best friend Angelina. "James who is that?" You demanded. "What do you mean who is that?" He slurred back. "Who are you in bed with?" Tears started to well in your eyes, you got that feeling in the pit of your stomach when your entire world is destroyed and your heart started to pound. "Violet baby it's nobody it's... the tv." He was thinking of an excuse on the spot, something he's never been good at. "James is it Angelina? Just tell me? Who is that girl you're with? What fun are you having with her?" You were trying to hard to hold back tears but your voice cracked. "I'm sorry Violet. I really am, but I have to go." He hung up the phone, you knew it was Angelina because you called her and there was no answer, and she always has her phone in her hand, even when she is asleep.
You started crying, you couldn't hold back anymore tears and you dropped to your knees and sobbed. You were alone in the front foyer so you hoped that nobody heard and you were scrambling through your contacts to find someone to come pick you up. You couldn't find anyone, your mom was out of town and your dad lives in Utah. Your brother is out in Texas playing college football and you really only had 2 other friends, but they were James's friends and you were convinced they knew all about this the whole time. You called a couple taxi companies but they all said that they wouldn't drive that far out of the city. You sat in the front foyer, there was really nothing you could do. You could try to hitch hike back into Calgary, all these thoughts of trying to get back into the city were flooding your mind.
"Hey, are you okay?" You turned around and it was Sean "I was trying not to eavesdrop but I heard pretty much everything. I don't really know what to say." He walked over to you and the tears came flooding back. He held you close to him and let you cry, you felt comfortable. "I'm sorry this is such a bad first impression." You managed to get out. He just pulled you closer and said that it wasn't a problem.

---Sean's POV---

I felt so bad, she was crying, she was stranded. Neither Lance or I could give her a ride, we had a couple drinks before Violet got here. A girl like that should never have to go through something that heart breaking. For me it's great, she's a beautiful girl fresh out of a break up and I'm the Prince Charming here to save her. I don't want to take advantage of her misfortune though, I hope that's not what she thinks I'm doing... I need to come up with a plan.
"Where do you live?" I asked her
"In a condo downtown, close to the saddle dome." She sobbed back
"Who do you live with?" I don't think I should have asked that because she just started crying harder, she went on about how she doesn't know where she will stay and she needs to get her stuff from her condo. It's in her ex-boyfriends name so she can't kick him out and she doesn't want to live with her mom.
She was telling me a lot of things when she started to calm down and I could tell that she was stressed about the situation she was suddenly thrown into.
"I wonder how long this has been going on for..." she looked into my eyes "he cheated on me with my best friend."
Trying to get her mind off of it I said  "Hey, if you're not comfortable with it you can say no, but since we can't get you back into town tonight or even to a hotel, you can stay in the guest bedroom, I can give you some stuff to wear as pajama's?" I smiled and squeezed her hand a little to assure her my intentions aren't to get in her pants. Yet.
"Sure." She smiled at me
