Chapter 4: These Secrets of yours

Authors Note- Hey guys! I am updating one last time this week, the next one won't be till Monday, just letting you know.      "No. Tell me the truth, I wasn't asleep that long. Your just trying to trick me." I turned, only to find Will standing behind me. He put a hand on my shoulder. "Tobias, that time when I attacked you, when we brought you here. That was all two years ago. Actually the men that came with me are dead, they died on a siege to find the syrum to-" He stopped abruptly. "Never mind, anyways. They aren't even alive anymore. I don't know how to make you believe this." It was all to much. Syrum. I pushed past Will and walked out into the hall way, I looked left then right searching for something. I didn't know what. I began walking, only to find that Will had sent Sangar and another young man to fetch me. They put restricting hands on my arms holding tight. "Let me go." I said through gritted teeth. Neither of them said anything they turned me around and walked me passed Patans office, and down a large narrow hall way, with no occupants. "Where are we going?" I asked, anger still lurking in my tone. They stopped, the young man knocked on the door that was to our left, a women opened the door, probably mid 40's, she wore white pants, a white shirt, and white shoes. Her hair was pure white. The men walked me inside and sat me down on a bed that was in the corner. The room was medium sized with cabinets lining half the wall next to the door, a sink was located in the middle of two counter tops. The women went over to the cabinet and grabbed some bandages, identicall to the one wrapped around my head. She grabbed some gozz and walked back over to where I sat. "My names Maggie, and your... Tobias I believe." her voice was soft and kind, but I mumbled back "Yea." She opened a small metal trash can looking basket and pulled out a damp wash cloth. "We've been waiting for you to wake up. It's been so long. They thought you were in a coma. But the doctor that inserted the... 'medicine' into your neck gave you too much and held your throat for too long. He shouldn't have done it anyways." Syrum. She had a sad tone to her voice as if she felt sorry for me. "What 'medicine'" I asked curiosity overwhelming the anger. She hesitated then brought her voice low aware of the two men standing right outside the closed door. "It's a syrum, it was supposed to help you learn easier and faster. But the syrum that was inserted into you was different from the others, the doctor thought that since you were Divergent that you'd need a stronger one, a more developed syrum. Turns out it worked, a little too well." I didn't understand "Why does it matter if we know? It doesn't make sense for us to not know that we are able to learn faster and easier." I asked, but anger arose, not because of the syrums affect, but because they would insert me with another syrum. I told myself that I was done with syrums. "It's not the secondsyrum their worried about..." She lingered off. Second syrum? Then I realized that there was a thought that had been lerking at the back of my mind, and was pushing harder to be understood. Syrum. This was makeing sense. But I had no time to think, the two men that were standing outside came bursting in, Sangar yelled at the women "What are you doing?! You idiot!" Sangar walked towards me and punched me right in the head, which blew the lights out in an instant.
