"Well take her to the Silence Room. And hire a new Nurse, we'll need her." a voice said. Patan. I opened my eyes, a slight headache lurching in the back of my head. I blinked a couple of times and it was gone. Patan was standing in front of me with a glass of whiskey in his hand. He leaned against his desk and crossed his feet in front of him. "We know what she told you." He said, takeing a sip of his drink and setting it on the desk behind him. I knew where we were, but I looked behind me, checking for any human surveillance. None. Good. I turned back and rested my head on the chair that sat in the middle of the large office. "I believe, you understood what we did to you, two years ago? Yes?" He turned and walked behind his desk. Standing, he placed his hands on the desk and leaned forward. "It's a secret Tobias, but sooner or later it'll get out, and the country" a short pause, then "No the world, will thank us for it. But there are even bigger changes Tobias. Not just the syrums. There are different changes occurring they've been happening since August, that was two months ago, Tobias. Do you know what those changes were?" He asked mysteriously. I thought, hard and as clear as I possibley could. "No, I don't. Care to explain?" I said. He looked at me. Then Sangar came through the door and stood at attention. "Sir! Commander Tory Chapton Sir!" Then he stepped to the side and a women, brown long hair that went to her shoulders, dressed in default green shirt, and camo cargo pants walked in. Black boots and a camo army hat included. I stood slowely, but soon winced at the new pain that blossomed in my left side. I gave off a groan and grabbed my side. I placed a hand on the arm of the chair I looked down and lifted my shirt up only to see a large bandage wrapped around my abdomen with a dark red spot dyed onto it. Patan looked over his shoulder at it and a expression of confusion spread across his face. It lasted a mere second then vanished. He clapped his hands and walked towards 'Commander Tory' as they called her. "Ahhhh, Tory, how are you?" He placed a hand on her shoulder and pushed her towards the empty chair located to the right of Tobias. Tory smirked and eyed me suspiciously. "I''m doing fine, and you?" She said looking back at Patan who was standing uncomfortably in the front of the room. "I'm doing quite well. Er, did you meet Tobias?" He said. I walked over with a limp in my left leg. Everytime I walked on it it applied pressure on my side, which did not feel good. I stuck a hand out, still keeping a hand on my side. She grabbed it smiling and sitting back down. I turned and sat down slowly. "What has brought you to our humble complex?" Patan asked. Tory started "Well, I've been getting a couple of reports about... powers." Patans face became surprised, and said "Oh, uh, well, uh... Tobias! About lunch time is it. Sangar! Take Tobias to the cafeteria, wait for him there." He wrung his hands until I stood and limped out the door. Sangar walked by my side, slowly until we got to the elevator, instead of taking the stairs. I leaned on the wall, until we got to the 2nd floor. Sangar said "The line is over there, I need something to eat myself." He walked out and slowed down, realizing that I wasn't walking very fast again. When we got in line, I asked for whatever they gave me. I wasn't very hunger, and wasn't sure I would be hungry for the next couple of hours. We sat at the same table with a couple of other 'soldiers.' They talked and laughed. I felt small compaired to them. They were all mostly large and tall maybe 6' at the most weighing at least 200 pounds each. I was maybe 5'8, and weighed 143. But I was only 21, so I was fine. I had let go of my side after we had exited the elevator, not wanting people to ask questions. When I sat, I hadn't wanted to talk so I sat and stared at my hands. "...Tobias here was apart of one of the experiments." I heard a voice say. I looked up to see a dozen faces stareing at me. Sangar had said it. I stuttered, "I-Uh-I. Ya. Ya. I was in the Chicago expirement." I looked at my food then. A man sitting next to me said "Ya? I've heard of that one. That was the most popular one. I've heard a bunch of rumors. Were there actually mutated kids with powers? Someone said they could read peoples minds and there was that one guy... what was his name, errrr, Four! that's it! Four! He was like the real life Jackie Chang, he was in Dauntless or something." I was surprised, I said "How'd you know about Four?" and for once, I laughed a short pleasent laugh. "What? Oh, we watched those guys on computer monitors. He was epic." Then he looked at me and said "You know? You kinda' look like him you know that?" I looked at him and said "That's because I'm Four. You know the story of the name?" He looked at me and said "Wow that is you! Dude!" He grabbed my shoulder and patted it firmly. A slight shooting pain shot up my side. But I ignored it, not wanting to look weak infront of all these guys. Then he said "I'm Drake, and these here are my boys, Tony, Greg, Jack, and Vincent. There were 6 other guys at the end of the table, talking amongst themselves. "Squad 9 brotha'" he smiled and high fived the guys. "Your apart of our squad now, then he fist bump and we went back to talking about why I was called Four, and life back in Chicago. That night when I made my way to a large room filled with bunk beds I got my own bunk, on the far wall labeled 'Squad 9' there were 4 sections 5-9 labeled on the walls seperating them. We all talked till we fell asleep and for once in the years that had left me stranded without Tris I was happy. I had found my place in a group of men that liked me, that respected me. You know? I thought to myself It's not so bad here after all.

Like I said before I don't know if i'm going to continue, I'll give it maybe 2 weeks. and if i'm not at 80 reads by then or atleast 15 comments, I'm going to stop. Hope you all enjoyed. Please Comment Rate Share I love you all <3
