Chapter 20 - Dead Hearts

"Sir, what are we going to tell him?" 

"We won't have to tell him anything, he won't remember her or the relationship he had with her. It will be like nothing happened, as long as nothing triggers the memory of her."

I growled and vanished into the shadows...I can't rest in peace if Hoodie doesn't let go. He might not remember me but he won't forget the thought in the back of his mind.  

-Hoodie's POV-

I woke up with a splitting headache. I sat up and held my head, but I soon noticed my head was the least of my problems. My torso was wrapped in bandages and stained in blood. 

"Hoodie!" 

I turn to see Masky running in and pulling my in a light hug. I hugged back with a small smile. 

"I see you pulled threw!" Masky laughed but it seemed fake.

I decided not to question it.

"What happened?" I asked.

Masky didn't reply. It wasn't until Slender walked in. 

"Zalgo," was all he said.

I nodded and sighed.

"Do you remember anything?" Slender asked. "Anything that happened?"

I only shook my head, "I don't sir."

He only nodded and left. 

"You should rest," Masky sighed and walked towards to door

"How long was I out?" I asked.

Masky paused at turned towards me, "a week and a half. Your body still needs to heal. Now rest."

I sighed and laid back down. I felt like something is missing, but I don't know what it is. I only sighed and turned over and closed my eyes.

Y/n's POV

I sighed and left Hoodie's room, following Masky. I was just a ghost now, but Hoodie has no memory of me. Not only that the only one that can see me is Sally and Ben, only because they were ghost too. Ben noticed me following Masky and grabbed me and pulled me into his room. 

"What are you doing?"

"Masky is going to talk to Slender and I want to know what they are going to talk about," I replied. 

"You shouldn't be here, why don't you just move on?" Ben asked. "You staying with only hurt Hoodie."

I glared and Ben, "i can't move on. Hoodie's memory my have been erased but he didn't full forget about me. I can't rest in peace until not only him, but you all as well lets me rest in peace."

Ben sighed and turned away, "Y/n, you know that you were family to us...I don't think I can-"

I pulled him into a hug which. in result, caused him to cry. 

"Why did you have to die?" Ben asked sobbing on my shoulder. "Why did you have to leave us?"

I only held him closer to me. Ben's arms wrapped around my waste, since i was taller than him. 

"It will be ok Ben, I promise. Once I'm at peace, everything will be better," I sighed.

Ben nodded slightly and pulled back, "but if I let you go now, what will happen?" 

"You won't be able to see me," I sighed.

Ben's tears fell once more but he only nodded. Once his eyes hit me again he looked a little shocked. He let me go. I left him be and left to find Sally, but it seems like Ben left to do the same thing. Ben look so sad, but once he walked into Sally's room I slipped in and hid int he shadows.
