~ Prologue ~
The boy started screaming for help. He knew something was wrong, he could feel it, he could feel Caleb was in trouble. He wanted to save his guardian, he wanted to fulfill his job as Master, this wasn't going to end like this, he had to do something, and fast. He stretched his fingers and tried to lift his arms off the chair he was chained against. His eyes were covered, he couldn't see a thing but he knew he couldn't escape. His wrists weren't the only parts that were chained, he felt chains around his feet and stomach as well.
He didn't know who took him, or what took him, nor did he have any idea where he was. They knocked him out with some gas like substance, so he didn't even know how far he was from his own Nation. The gas they used to make him sleep still made him feel really drowsy so he wasn't able to do much more than struggle, but he felt something, maybe even someone, slowly purging the gas out of his body. It wouldn't take long before he got totally conscious again. His guardian was helping him, no matter in how much danger Caleb was, he was determined to help his Master. The boy felt better every second, the only thing he could do now was wait till the substance that kept him from thinking straight left his body, and be grateful for his guardian who tried everything he could to save the boy.
When he felt his body getting stronger and stronger he licked his lips and smiled showing his amazingly white and straight teeth. Some of them seemed really sharp and made his smile a scary perception. He would do anything to escape now, get Caleb and get out of this.
He knew he was somewhere deep down, most likely miles under the solid ground of their Nations, because breathing was more difficult then he could remember from before he lost conscious. He opened his eyes, and saw what covered his face, he knew about this and closed his immediately after he realized. The glasses they had put on him were the most awful things people had ever invented. Wearing them was equal to a slowly painful death, they shut your other senses and make you experience true hell. How they did this wasn't known, the people that used them were either killed after for the same reason they had to wear them in the first place, or commit suicide. These glasses didn't show you your biggest fears, it was much worse than that. It was said they showed you, no they made you feel like you were dying, and everyone you knew with you. Other people said they saw the world get to his end, they saw the world collapse. The images were imprinted in your memory. After seeing the horrifying spectacle they showed you, you weren't able to live your life the way it used to be anymore.
But the boy was prepared. In his Nation they had made all the Master wear them at least once, the Masters weren't as weak as normal humans, and the ones that weren't able to bear the feeling the glasses gave them, weren't allowed to stay and rule the Nation. They didn't want cowards. So as soon as he opened his eyes he knew what was trying to take over his mind, and he was able to shut it out as long as he keeped his eyes closed, this was a quality even Masters older than him didn't yet posses. Closing your eyes, shutting out the images the glasses gave, was something even years of experience couldn't grant you.
He felt his body got to the point it couldn't hold in his anger and power in anymore. It was time.
He started to scream again louder, the boy's scream was the most horrifying voice that had ever been heard, it cut through the walls and the guards that stood at the outside of the doors covered their ears and fell to the ground struggling to keep their ears covered. One by one they fainted, the sound the boy kept making ruptured their eardrums and a few felt warm thick blood stream down their hands they still covered their ears with. The boy tried to wiggle himself out of his chains but he felt hands covering his mouth, he had trouble breathing till the hands removed the thing covering his nose. His breathing was straggling. He tried to bite the person's fingers but didn't succeed, the person behind him got something to cover his mouth. The sound slowly died, as echo's were the only sounds that filled the room. The echo's weren't deadly but he felt the hands of his kidnapper really tight around his mouth, the person was trying his best to withstand the sound of the echoing voice.
When the voice died out, the boy saw his chance of ever escaping slowly dying. He tried his best to thwart his kidnapper even more, he tried to move his chair back, crunching the persons feet under it. He moved his body against the chair multiple times till it fell and hit the person behind it, but nothing was enough to actually help him.
He didn't manage to escape but he learned something about himself he had never even dared to dream of, he wasn't a normal Master.
Yay! I know I'm like.. so late with this XD but I just really wanted a prologue that got people's attention and I think I did an okay job on this one :3 I'd love to hear your opinion on it though!
