When art class came to it's end Dalia went home. Aeron waited for her in his car in front of the school, what car? A black one. Dalia had no idea, cars never got her interest. Nothing ever really did except for drawing.
She got in the car while Aeron looked away pretending to be really interested in the road next to him. His sharp green eyes were focused on the girl walking her dog on the other side of the street.
"How was art class?" He asked, still not looking at her.
Dalia kept quiet.
"I know you're mad at me. But it didn't surprise you I checked your laptop did it?" He said as he turned his head so his eyes were intense and looking at her.
"No.." She replied. "But I thought we made a deal about stuff like this. Stop searching through my personal stuff, Aeron." She said while trying to figure out how Aeron felt, by reading his eyes.
His eyebrows formed a frown as he tried to pay attention to the road again.
They kept quiet till they got to the house, it wasn’t awkward. Dalia and Aeron didn’t ever really talk, as Aeron was her guardian he didn’t need to. Guardian’s can’t read their masters minds, but they feel what their masters feel. If Dalia was hurt he would feel where she was and how badly he was needed to help her there. He knew when she was in danger so he could come to save her. The closer they were, the better he could feel her. And even though they knew, there was something, or someone, that caused the distance between the two they were closer than any Master had ever been with it's guardian.
The car stopped in front of a big blue house. Aeron opened the door for Dalia and they walked towards the big blue building.
The house seemed empty and it looked like no one had been there for years. Tares made their way up the windows, they covered them and made it unable to see what's happening inside the house. The fence around the house, which looked like it was electrified, was decorated with big red roses. The roses showed the fence was completely save.
White and pink flowers formed themselves next to the path Dalia and Aeron were walking on, as they walked the flowers started to grow more and more leading them to the front door. When they got there the flowers started to grow up the wall and around the door. But as soon as they stepped inside the flowers started to shrink and slowly made their way back to the fence again.
When Dalia closed the door behind her, Mary immediately came to her. Mary was an old woman and was the owner of the big blue house. She had been working there for about 50 years, serving the masters and their guardians. It seemed like a lot of work but Mary did it all on her own since the masters didn’t ever like company from outside humans.
Outside human was the name they gave to the people in the Nation that knew nothing of the masters and their guardians, and since the number of people knowing about them was very little Mary was the only one willing to help them.
“How was school Lia?” Mary asked while taking Dalia’s bag and jacket.
“It was okay..” Dalia told her after taking off her boots. “Just a lot of stress and people.”
“It’s a good think you’re such a people person then.” said Aeron a little melancholic.
Dalia pretended not to hear him and continued talking to Mary. “They keep asking stuff I can’t answer, I’m really on the subject right now. I just have no idea where to continue, Mary it’s awful.”
Mary slowly stroked her hand over Dalia’s hair and looked into her eyes. “You know I’ll do anything to help, don’t you?”
“Yeah,” Said Dalia while walking up the stairs. “I know..”
When she got to her room she looked through her notes one more time before calling Aeron into her room.
It took him 2 seconds, at most, to get to her room. As soon as he got in he slowly grabbed her shoulders and rested his head on hers.
“I’m sorry for today..” Said Dalia. “I overreacted, I know you had to check my laptop and not only my laptop but all my personal stuff, and I know you do it just because you’re worried.”
“It’s okay.” He smiled as he picked up her notes and read them. “No sign of Ceridwen?” His smile disappeared as he read the rest of the notes.
“At all…” She answered as she let her head fall on her desk. “Sigh..”
“Hey” Aeron said while patting her head. “Don’t worry, we’ll find out who did it, and where they are. We’ll make them pay for what they did to our Nation, don’t worry about it too much. You don’t need to answer anyone unless you’re ready for it.”
