What We Once Were (Cole Fanfic)

Chapter 5

Ever since that day I gave Seth that kiss he has gotten a little too over protective and clingy. I don't really mind that, but that's because he was taught to protect me. Besides, I saw it coming, but what's been really bugging me is Cole. He keeps texting me saying he wants to see me. I always try to ignore him, but that has been too hard. I talked to Seth about all of this. We agreed that I would go, but that he would follow me in case it was a trap.

That is how I found myself walking in the hallway and being stopped by Cole. "Hey Adri," Fuck, he used the nickname he gave me. "Don't ever call me that again!" I told him actually getting pissed. "Um..okay...sure." I didn't care about what he felt, but I also know I have to seem like I'm interested on what he wants. "What do you want?" Trying to sound calm. "I just wanted to see if you wanted to meet me at the cove?" He wanted to meet at out spot. "Ok." I said before I could change my mind. "Wait really?" He asked while a small mile grew on his face. All I did was nod. "Okay....so....um....meet me there around 7?" I nodded not really trusting my voice. "Okay, cool and I promise everything is going to be fine." He looked like he was about to do something, but I backed away before he could do anything else. "Umm, okay then...um..I guess I'll see you later." I nodded still not able to find my voice. Before I could even think of anything the bell rang for class. 

I couldn't focus on anything and when lunch came up I had told Seth everything. "So I need you there. Far enough that he won't be able to sense you, but you can still see me in case something happens." Just thinking about him trying something hurts, but once you lose my trust it's always hard to get it back. 

The rest of the day passed on uneventful except for me not being able to think of anything else except for tonight. Now here I am getting ready not really sure about what could happen....
