Bayou was on the ground looking wide eyed and shaking. A few seconds passed, Reg laughed.
Zed grin. "Boy won't be stealing food around here again."
Bayou sluggishly sat up but before he began to talk.
"Don't talk! unless you want to bite your tongue off." Reg kneel down to get a good grip and move him to a chair. " I mix in some medicine in the bread. I was seeing if I could hide the taste in the bread. It's a relaxer medicine, so your clear in the head but in a drunk body."
"Enough of this." Zed face screwed up. "Nutrients medicine is in high demand." He looked towards Reg in sadness. "There is more cases of the sleeping seed in the city."
Guilt and grief stab at his chest, with some difficultly he pushed it to the side. "It won't help."
"You think I don't know that?" Zed waved his hand. " the people are beginning to worry and soon resources will begin to lower."
"Hrmp." Reg turned away and collected again all the herbs to begin workings.
Once again in the workshop and Bayou now laying on a pallet against the wall. Reg hummed lightly working when Zed lean through the door.
"I'm going to buy more before panic sets in."
Without turning around, Reg raised his hand which were again wet in signal that he heard.
After some time passed, a dry cough drew his attention. Grabbing a cup of water and helping Bayou drink.
"Ho...cough... How long does this last?" Bayou flexed his fingers.
Touching his forehead. "Well your temperature is lowering, so not long." Reg took his hand away noticing that his hand was still wet. "Sorry about that."
Bayou face turned red. "It's fine. I feel like I can walk."
"Yeah you could but you may stumble though."
"Um. I don't want to go home." Bayou face turn to confusion then horror at what he said and then a lonely expression settled last. " I think it's doing more than making me sluggish...why am I telling you that?"
"Heh. Well give me a second to finish." Reg tied the crates shut and move it next to the door.
"Why are you wearing it?"
"Huh?" Looking at Bayou, Reg wiped his hands on his pants. Bayou pointed to his ear. " Oh..well... um. It seem to be beautifully made to simply pass by it when I found it." Reg fingered the second earring in his left ear, now knowing that both of the jewels were made by Bayou.
Bayou's face redden again and then a small smile showed. "Yeah... I did pretty good." Then the smile disappeared. "Does it still work?"
"Well, heh. I'm still here." Reg said while tapping his temple, then grimace when he remembered what happen earlier. Reg helped steady Bayou and turn towards the door.
"Yeah...well you still sc..."
The door swung open and hit the crates.
'I think I'm gonna kill someone. Thank the Mynits for charms.' Reg looked at the golden skin gaint sporting a head cut bearing a grin that seemed to said victory. 'One day I'm gonna hit this bastard good.'
"HA! I won the bet on what the next shipment was." Derek raised an eyebrow. "What happened to you?" looking pointy at Bayou, who didn't look to well.
Reg smirked as often as Bayou turned red in the face, I'm surprised he hasn't caught fire.
"Bread." Bayou looked away not wanting to explain further.
